Yeah we both have them too now. They do return everything when your account is hacked, can just take a day or two. I never visit any weird sites, never found anything weird on my computer. Our other guildie, who is also a guy my Husband used to work with - same deal, never found anything on his computer either.

Sam and Ben - Sounds like a horrible drive, hope the rest of the trip is much much smoother

It's probably going to take 1-2 weeks - they're really backlogged right now. :( A LOT of people got hacked Friday/Saturday (spent a lot of time reading the forums yesterday) and had the same result - nothing on their computers.

Sam - Jeez, tell that Floridian to learn how to drive! Glad he's okay. :)

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!

Sam, has your soon to be Husband ever driven in the snow or is he a native Floridian?

Mal - :o a week!

I wonder why Friday and Saturday?

Oh and I don't know if you know, but the other guy in our guild that got hacked didn't know they had already returned his stuff - it just comes in game mail and he didn't think to check it

That's weird, Bern.

Don't think I've heard anyone say that's happened before.

So as everyone knows, we got a lot of snow this past weekend. A lot of snow FOR THIS AREA.

Well I am just getting so sick and tired of people back home coming up with lame jokes every time I talk about it. My car was buried under snow, like you couldn't tell it was there. No one here has snow tires, I didn't even own a pair of boots. We don't get snow that often here. Sure it's funny if you're from the freaking snow belt and you're used to getting tons of snow, but around here they're not. So when I talk about it and they're like: "You need to come back to Canada" and "YOU ARE CANADIAN!" So!? Doesn't change the fact that this is a lot of snow and every store in a 45 mile radius is sold out of shovels!

I am just really annoyed by it all. I feel like I can't even talk about it because as soon as I do, they say something stupid. Especially my freaking uncle. Guy just can't shut up!

On Saturday morning, it was funny because there was barely any snow, maybe 2 inches. But by Sunday morning, even I stopped laughing.

Lol I know exactly what you're talking about. I was in Windsor to spend the day with my wife's family and all the people on the news from CBC and stuff were kind of laughing at how it was such national news that the East Coast got slammed with snow. Guess you Canadians are hard core when it comes to complaining about snow haha.

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

I loved all of the snow!

I'm actually quite surprised at how well Virginia (at least around where I live) has coped with it.

I remember quite a few years ago when Mayor Mel Lastman had to call in the Canadian forces when they has less snow than what we got on Saturday. And the rest of Canada laughed at him

Still trying to get my car out, but luckily I don't have to work today, and John has the truck (which he dug out yesterday to go Christmas shopping).

My car yesterday morning

Totally know what you mean - it is a big deal eher in VA becaus ethey simply aren't used to it.

I begin to see how ignorant some Canadians sound with regard to Americans.....you know the Rick guy from CBC who makes it a profession to make fun of everyone, but especially Americans? I used to think he was funny, but now the shoe is on the otehr foot and i take offense

It is surprising on how many people at my condo complex dont own a shovel!! Seen people out with buckets, kitchen utensils and broom trying to remove close to 20" of snow! Its not like this snow magically appeared, there was a 2 day warning! Watched one guy try and move hi scar covered in snow, not removing the snow in front of him--and tryin gto get out! Whats with people! Don't be soo frickin lazy and start shoveling!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I'm angry at my mom thinking I'm being an ungrateful person.

I called yesterday to ask about the tickets to the show because my one friend was interested, even though we weren't sure if she could come or not.

I'm pretty sure she said "We booked ones for Tuesday" but when I called it turns out she meant "We booked different ones for Tuesday" since Ka's sold out.

Apparently I'm so hell bent on going to Ka that I dont give a ####### about this other show, or that's what they think what came out of my mouth.

Oh I'm sorry I've never seen any previews for this other show and I don't know what it's about, of course I'd sound iffy about it. It doesnt mean I'm an ungrateful person.

Why are weddings so stressful <_<

Personally i've never had a stressful wedding and i've had 2!

It is what you make of it, you are an adult, you take charge - that is the way of the world :)

As for the snow, actually I completely understand why, in some southern cities, they are totally unprepared for snow. Calgary just upped their snow removal budget by 2 million starting immediately so we can avoid people being stuck on side roads (it has been a problem for some time).

We are a snowy city, it snows, we are not surprised, we budget many millions to clear that snow. It would be irresponsible of southern cities, who don't have a regular amount of annual snow - to budget millions - waste of taxpayer money.

I dont think my city ever budgeted enough for snow removal.

Our main roads were always a mixture of slush and sand, since they always run out of salt like 2 months into winter.
