Oh, I was totally being tongue-in-cheek when I wrote that.

I probably should have used a smiley.

Well I understood you Wyatt!

Ditto. I presumed you were being sarcastic.

Morning, everyone. I am in a post red-wine haze today and am battling it with boatloads and boatloads of coffee! How'ma doing?

Oh right, vent...

Um... well, I'm sitting at work on a friday and my boss called in sick again! Is it not suspicious to anyone that she's sick a lot on Fridays and Mondays?

Hmmm.....

I sure could use a day off...

~cough cough~

;)

PS @ Wyatt... I assumed you were being smart-assy too! And I think the emoticon you're looking for is a winky-face. :D

Ah, so you celebrated your three-month anniversary of no scheduled interview with a bottle of wine, eh? So if it happens to go another month, will you resort to whiskey? Absinthe? Arsenic?

Well look at the bright side: you're surely within three months of being with your hubby! So think about all of the time you've been waiting to GET an interview, then imagine a much lesser amount until you're actually with him.

I'm no consular officer, but I can all but guarantee that you'll get your interview date in a matter of weeks, not months. :)

You ARE optimistic!

Okay... new rant for you. ;

I work in an office, pretty professional and stuff, but there's this group of people, who for some reason come into our design group area and talk and laugh like freaking idiots. It makes me NUTS. I am no prude my any stretch of the means but oh my god... take it somewhere else. I don't feel like having my workspace filled with the noise of idiots laughing and saying really stupid #######.

I actually sent their boss guy, who's actually really nice an email saying can you tell Mr D1ckwad to take his antics somewhere else as tis' really disturbing...

I know... I 'm lame but god what a bunch of immature aholes.

It is very hard to convey emotions when typing. Well that's what I've found anyway.

I have no problem imparting emotion in typing and I thought the sentiment in the original posts was quite clear. I do understand the sensitivity regarding adam walsh, hence why I think Kathryn clarified the title. The yardies reference I thought was like picking on a group of people for their dialect.

Bah. You're truly reading too much into it. At least, I never intended anything like that when I mentioned it. I didn't even know which group of people it was that had that thread -- I would have assumed Scotland, to be honest (just try saying that thread name in a Scottish accent...c'mon, it's fun!).

LoL. I tried, I really did try to do it in a Scotish accent.... simply not possible for me  When I was 17 and was learning to drive, I was in Glasgow, Scotland for a time. My uncle was letting me drive his car around. I learned so much about cursing and road rage from Glasgow drivers. Even today, when I swear at people in my car, some words simply come out with a scotish accent

I'm doing collections calls at work today - and you wouldn't believe how many of these people let their kids come up with their answering machine banter. I don't find it cute at all, in fact it makes me cringe. We're not just talking: "Sorry we're not home right now.." I'm talking about kids singing terribly, and just being lame.

Yes people your kids are LAME.

:D

I expect some backlash for this vent but I don't really care. YOU'RE LAME TOO! ;) jk I lurve you all... well most of you... okay just some of you... maybe just two or one of you... :P

My dad's from glasgow. He'd appreciate this :P

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Is there really any other way to tell someone who just cut you off while on his cell phone that he's a "foooooooking c**t" than in a Scotish Accent?
