And I'll be the first to admit that I love laughing at the stupid things celebrities say and do. If you try to portray as a squeaky clean family man with a great moral compass then it comes out that you are a pig who cares about nobody but yourself? Then I think you deserve whats coming to you. If you want to be in the spotlight then you need to be prepared to take it all, good and bad.

I disagree.

I mean...here's a guy who was thrust into the spotlight as a toddler, and cameras were on him as he developed into the best golfer in the world. He never had a chance to be private, really. Ultimately, all the guy wants is to be the greatest golfer in the world...and he IS that now. But he still strives to get better. I don't think he ever tried to portray himself as a squeaky clean family man...people portrayed him that way. He has always been notorious for keeping his private life private, which is exactly why people are LOVING the exploitation of his public accident and the irrevocable unraveling of his apparent indiscretion.

By the way, I'm no Tiger Woods fan and I don't watch golf. I just loathe the pattern of celebrity worship / celebrity tear-down that afflicts our society. These people are just as human and just as vulnerable as ANY of us. In most cases, they're where they are because of the excellence of their craft or sport, not the bombastic nature of their personalities.

Its not that I really disagree with what you're saying Wyatt, its probably just that I don't really care. That's cruel, I know, but regardless of why he's a celebrity, or what his true personality is like, or why he does the things he does, I just don't really care. He screwed around on his wife and got hit with a golf club. That, to me, is absolutely hilarious and something worth talking about. The way Americans (and Canadians I spouse...) hound celebrities is a little sickening, sure, but its also entertaining and I have a hard time having sympathy for people who put themselves in vulnerable positions.

But, for what its worth, I think him being so completely private is actually an attempt to portray himself as a family man. That may be some kind of backwards logic, but if you are never seen outside, in clubs, in bars, in restaurants, shopping, anything, and when you are seen in public you are holding your wife hand and kissing your baby, I think you are attempting to portray yourself as a family man. And as a golfer, you MUST have a squeaky clean image... and money. Its like a societal requirement.

Unfortunately, that comes with the territory of being a celebrity/politicians. If you work in the spotlight, you are game for society's approval or criticism. I don't like it either but it is what it is.

 sounds good to me. We can agree to disagree!

And you bring up some good and valid points. I don't want you to think I don't see any validity to what you're saying.

Lol Once he decided to sell pictures of his newborn babies and give interviews in People and garbage about his family and how important it is to him, he opened up himself to this. I agree it's really none of anyone's business but he makes a great amount of money on his image and who he is so he shouldn't have any real expectation that this wouldn't happen. Also most of his bad press right now is coming from the skankos that he cheated with so again that's his fault. These women are being offered tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars to talk about what happened.

In the end he went to a great college but I think they forgot to teach him common sense Lol.

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

No one forced tiger to drop his pants. Nor did anyone force him to marry that model!! Poor tiger!! It comes with the territory. They get a lot of perks, he makes more $$$ in 10 seconds then many make in a year. Most of his $$$ comes from ENDORSEMENTS!! Companies pay him big $$$$$ because he is a great athlete, and supposedly great morals! last time I looked, dropping your pants with others--without the approval of your wife----isnt very good!! I dont really feel sorry for him at all! Even if it all crumbles down, he still will be better off financially that 99% of people on this planet, and he will still be dropping his pants with hot models. Oh poor tiger!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

It's not fair  . First week of November I got a cold that refused the respond to any type of medication. I was miserable and after 10 days with no improvement I went to the doctor. I got 2 weeks worth of antibiotics for a sinus infection, corticosteroid nasal spray, and Musinex D. Slowly, I start feeling better although the cough and tightness in my chest never went away. The Antibiotics finished last weekend. Joe got sick on Monday, worked from home Tuesday, was sick in bed Wednesday and Thursday with a bad cold, sneezing, bronchitis - the works. Takes over the counter medicine and starts feeling better so he worked from home again Friday. On Thursday I started to get a scratchy throat again; yesterday it was worse and I ended up with a fever, chills, a really sore throat last night and today I am all stuffed up again back to where I was early November and my throat is really, really sore. So, back to the doctor again on Monday! I've never had a cold that wouldn't go away before. It is just not fair! (grumble, grumble, grumble)

Aww, I hope you feel better soon!!

In my own news? These past few weeks have just been horrible, but it's all leading up to what I'm almost certain will be the worst week of the year. First off? My car is sitting in my driveway, completely dead. Don't know what's wrong with it, and as of right now, I can't afford to have it looked at. Next? This week is finals week, so I'm working my butt off for that. Things are just all around bad right now in every aspect of life (including relationships, though it's more just that we're arguing over stupid stuff -- normal, I know -- and I know that things would be better if he were here...) and I'm finding it hard to get into the Christmas spirit at all, which is something that's not usually difficult for me to do. Heck, I'm even finding it hard to get out of bed each day...

Boo. :( I really hope NOA2 comes this week. I need a pick me up. :/
