I told hubby about it and he dang near had a fit, lol. But seriously, when a woman says she's HAPPILY MARRIED, that the guy's cue to stop bugging her!

imo it shoulda ended right here:

Red-head: I would like to ask you out. Are you married?

Ravenesque: YES!

True that, ha. I can't believe he had the galls to aske me the second question "but are you HAPPILY married?"

I'm so glad you asked, Red-head, because no, I'm MISERABLY married and I'm just waiting for an unemployed mama's-paying-for-my-vacation white knight like you to rescue me.

That's the perspective I take too--when guys give compliments, they're not always coming on to ya. I thanked him politely for the compliment, because that's just a nice thing to do, but dude went nutty after that.

Also, ANY guy who is looking to pick up a gal NEEDS to know that mentioning one's mother in the "pick up" conversation is one of the come-on cardinal sins. Sheesh.

Ya know? LOL.

Why don't you just Tiger Woods me and beat with a nine iron????

Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that Tiger Woods got whipped with his own iron clubs? That guy needs lessons on how to cheat discreetly.

The only times a guy should EVER mention his mother during the pick-up process is if she's either A.) Dead, B.) Dying, C.) A V.I.P. or D.) Works at Sephora.

Not sure I'd like to hear about his dying VIP mother who works at Sepora during the pick-up process, Wyatt.

Nope, I think its pretty hilarious myself. Or, he needs lessons on how to not cheat at all perhaps? What a pig. 90% of celebrities and public figures are pigs. Just because you CAN have sex with multiple women doesn't mean you SHOULD. What happened to morals? Yeesh.

And 90% of NON celebrities LOVE to bring celebrities down at the first sign of ANY indiscretion!

Sorry. I just HATE that this is newsworthy these days. The guy is an incredible golfer and has done more for the sport than anyone in history. Is it wrong that he allegedly cheated on his wife? Yes, if it's true. But is that anyone's business other than he and his wife's? NO.

It makes me really angry when someone's exemplary professional reputation can be shattered by a mere allegation of indiscretion.

Sigh.

Morals aside (which I agree with you, BTW), but if you're gonna cheat, have the foresight to get a second phone and pick women who have alot to lose by engaging in the affair herself! Dang, a cocktail waitress and a club hostess? Come'on!

Look what happened to Bill Clinton for getting a bj when we all know JFK and Marilyn Monroe were doin' a hell of a lot more than that.

That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about...and that exact comparison has gone through my head with regard to this incident.

People will always love a pariah more than a savior.

Wyatt, Woods got busted out by his voicemail and he pretty much admitted his transgressions on his website, so his adultery is true. BUT, I still think he's a great golfer and his profession will not take a hit at all (unlike politicians like Eliot Spitzer). Just his squeaky clean image is tarnished, that's all.

And I'll be the first to admit that I love laughing at the stupid things celebrities say and do. If you try to portray as a squeaky clean family man with a great moral compass then it comes out that you are a pig who cares about nobody but yourself? Then I think you deserve whats coming to you. If you want to be in the spotlight then you need to be prepared to take it all, good and bad.

But you know what, in a few months nobody will care. If Tiger goes back to playing golf, wins some more majors, get his life straightened out, this will all be a faint memory. Even though we love dragging celebrities through the mud, we always forget.

Why don't you just Tiger Woods me and beat with a nine iron????
