Pretty much every tuesday I come back to #######. On Friday's before I leave, I do my run around and try to get everyone on track for the weekend... leave. And then I return and someone has dropped the ball and somehow it is my fault.

Then I have to explain ####### that has happened when I wasn't even here.

I am so sick of it. Like you wonder why I have an attitude? Why I am so snippy? It's because I WORK WITH RETARDS!! :D

Sheesh I read this vent at the end of the day after I left work and think: "It wasn't even that bad..."

It was still morning. :P That's my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Woo hoo. After 45 minutes on hold I managed to change my ticket...it only cost $24. I think $24 for an extra seven hours with my wife is worth it. I'd pay $3.43 per hour with her ANY day!

So I guess this kind of undoes my earlier vent...

I just had a cringe worthy moment. Two women who share the same department office as me, one 58 and one 62. They were talking about retirement and when it was going to happen etc, and then the conversation quickly turned south. One of the ladies said "well when I retire, my husband is going to expect me to blow him every afternoon with lunch". At that point, I closed my office door but can still hear them. I did it rather loud so that it was obvious. But I can still hear them talking about having sex in their children's old bedrooms. :help:

Oh that's disgusting.

Kinda is like the time we're having dinner with my in-laws and my MIL comments on them having seen a sex therapist for "issues". :|

In the past year two of my uncles have gotten divorces due to their wives falling in love with other men while playing online poker.

My one uncle, I am somewhat okay with it because his wife was the epitome of evil. But my other uncle, it's sad because they've been together forever. I mean it's sad no matter what, but one is a little sadder than the other. And the one uncle with the evil wife, we're like: "CUT HER LOOSE!" but the poor guy just wants to work it out understandably, they have two young children.

Sorry, it's weird. I just called my moms house and my uncle picked up the phone and I was like: "What are you doing there?" and he told me and I just sat here in shock. He's taking a break and staying at my moms for a bit. My mom is always the one to pick people up when they're down, she's so good like that.

That's interesting. I don't really know how someone could really MEET someone playing online poker... I've played online poker for years, and the "chats" in there are usually incredibly terse, like "nh" for "nice hand" etc.

Maybe she said "I'll raise you" and it went from there. :P

Yea I don't know how it worked either but both of them met the guys that way.

I mean as a married woman, I don't go online even looking for that sort of thing. I post on a few music boards, and this one. I guess if you're not happy, it's easy for your eyes to wander. I don't know how it works.

I hate affairs.

You post on music boards, Sprail? Are you a musician or more of a music fan?

I moderated at a popular professional audio forum for a few years.

I played the violin when I was younger, but I never really went anywhere with it. I also played the bass as a teenager, but what girl didn't. :P

I had dreams of being as cool as Kim Deal.

I guess I'm a music fan. I moderated on the Pixies official board for a couple of years and also have my own Pixies site. I also post on the lollapalooza message board and the Smashing Pumpkins forums... and sometimes I go over to ateaseweb.com and heckle the radiohead fans... but only when I'm feeling cheeky.

You? Cheeky? Never!

Yeah, as I've probably mentioned elsewhere here, I'm quite a music fan too. My tastes are really broad in terms of genre, but quite specific in terms of artists. I mean, I could never say, "Yeah, I like indie rock" because there's a hell of a lot of indie rock that I hate. Likewise with '60's / '70's progressive rock. Sure, I've got 200 CDs or so from the genre, but there are many artists (Gong, Henry Cow, Caravan) from that era that I really couldn't stand.

I'll gladly admit that I like almost everything the Pumpkins did up until Adore, though...and love Radiohead, even though I think In Rainbows was a bit of a misstep (the immaculate "All I Need" notwithstanding).

One of my favorite hobbies / pastimes is making mix CDs. I've got some pretty powerful music editing software, so I spend several hours on a mix CD, tweaking it, mastering it etc. It's the one thing that lets me feel connected to my former "career" of music production.

Yea after adore the pumpkins lost me too. But even when they come out with an album, I get so excited only to realize after a few listens that it's ####### and that Billy is being a moron. I stopped following them now that Jimmy officially left the band. It's not even half of the Pumpkins now. I have so many great stories from my teen years though that involve going to see the Pumpkins.

My husband loves radiohead. I really liked pablo and the bends and then they lost me. But they seemed to pick everyone up with ok computer... I feel like I missed out but even when I try to understand it, I don't.
