I'd try to return them anyways! If you still have the receipt, and if you have the tags, even if they're not attached, I don't see why it'd be a problem.

It would be a problem because they are washed, and the tags are removed, hence they cannot be resold.

My vent for the day. There is a local t.v. station that ran a story that is making work today a lot more difficult than it should be. I hate the local stations here.

What??? Oh my gosh, to me that is the epitome of chillin'... we're on the couch, had a great dinner, kitties are asleep at your feet and we put a movie on. If I dont' like the movie, I read or surf the net, same with him but it's just really super nice to be all relaxed and hangin' out together. I love it. I love watching movies and stuff with him.

What do you guys do?

Currently watching every season of Dexter and Big Bang Theory. XD

Today's vent: I went to the bank on a whim today to talk to someone about mortgages and all that jazz. I figure, my sanity is depleting bit by bit each day and I want to know what goal we're working towards. I need a number, need to know how many jobs I need to take on to make that number happen. So, today, while out and about, I decided to pop into the bank...

And of course, it's the one freaking day of the week that the mortgage specialist isn't in.

Oi.

That's what I get for the one time I didn't call ahead for something.

grr so this vent is towards me ..lol

so the other day I was at the store because I wanted to buy some capris... so I tried on a pair and they fit great so I just grabbed those and another pair in the same style and size, just a different colour and possibly a different fabric....I took them home and washed them and today I tried on the pair I didn't try on in the store and they are too big ... grrr now I am kicking myself because I didn't try them on.. and I can't return them because all the tags are off and I have already washed them... grrr...

I'd return them - I use my mom as an example. She keeps receipts and tags and even if something falls apart in 2 washings, she'll be right there returning the item because frankly it was poor quality (she's very insistent, but polite). Don't ever not return something which simply isn't what you wanted. Be honest and say you washed it(according to the label of course;) ) and they should ahve no issue returning it.

The worse is that they'll say no. Hoepfully at the very least they'll exchange it.

I have an ear infection. It sucks.

On the bright side, I literally called the doctors this morning and didn't expect to be seen right away but they did, so I left work, went to get some meds and then came back... but now I'm feeling even worse... there's so much pressure on the left side of my head. I know it'll start to get worse before it gets better and he said it will take a day or two for the medications to kick in, but this sucks.

Also I can't hear #######.

WHAT?

I'd still try to return them. They'll be able to reattach the tags. Especially if you're going to exchange them for ones in your size (which you were thinking of doing, right?). If they're smart, and if you also go and get the size you want, they'll be able to see that they do indeed sell those, and you aren't trying to return something with different tags. I have returned things with the tags unattached and haven't had any problems. As for the washing, I don't think it's an issue. It's not like a customer will go in and see them and say 'gasp! these have been washed!' and not buy them. lol That's if they can even tell they're washed.

I got chronic ear infections until i left university. I would get them so bad that the pain would radiate down my jaw, and down my neck into my shoulders. When I would get them that bad, I would usually yell at my mom for smoking when she was pregnant with me

They can't resell it, and they cannot return it to the distributor or manufacturer as defective. Two to three years ago, you might have been able to get away with it, but in today's economy, i'd bet my months salary in vegas that they won't.

Actually a lot of stores take back washed items. I know for a fact that Gap does. They don't advertise it, but they'll gladly take back something that was washed if you don't like it.

Also - stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Winners, they'll take back anything. My friend that worked at Winners had to take back pretty much anything that came through - shoes that had been worn for years, things that looked washed, make-up that wasn't even sold there.

Kohl's allows one to bring back clothes that you have worn/washed/taken off the tags, at least thats what their commercial stated!! Never heard of a store doing that!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I don't have the tags anymore.. they got thrown into the trash at the laundramat.. and I am not even sure if I still have the receipt...

I would just feel weird returning something I have already washed

*knock knock knock*

hellooooooo!

that sucks, man! I hear you (get it???) I think i am thisclose to going to the doctor myself -- my cold is all but gone but I still have some serious sinus issues as in, they're so clogged I need a spray like otravin or something and then I'm fine. WTH?? Don't get sick for years and then get a cold that will not go away. nothing bums me out more than not being able to breath.

Oh, and your ear infection, that bums me out more.
