I'm sorry sprails but, lol

Yeah, people shouldn't talk to me, i hate giving directions and i am seriously bad at it. even if i know the place inside and out.

It's sad, really.

So I get in my car this morning and there's bird ####### all over my window. This happens to me ALL of the time... so I start running my wipers and fluid and try to get it off... while driving... but it's not really wiping, it's just smearing bird ####### ALL over my window. Then I run out of wiper fluid.... so nothing is coming out and I'm driving with ####### smeared ALL over my window. I just wanted to crawl into a hole and die.

Yea tgif.

Yea me too!

I think I just hate it when people talk to me... period. :P

Yea so I came into work and grabbed some glass cleaner and paper towels and this guy is like: "Do you work here? Do you know where this person is...?" I haven't even officially arrived yet, I still need to clean my window off and park my car... I always arrive early so I can just enjoy my morning and have a coffee here and there's this guy talking a mile a minute in the most chipper of ways. So I said: "I don't work here" and walked out with the window cleaner and the paper towels.

I clean my window and then I go to park and come in the back doors, I make my coffee, shoot the ####### with the maintenance guy and then go upstairs and the guy who was there before looks at me all confused and I smile and say: "Okay... now I work here..."

It was probably not the best way to handle the situation but when you're morning starts out sh1tty (no pun intended) that's what you're going to get.

hahahahahahahahahaha! Okay.... NOW I work here.

I am the same way, I hated it when some eager beaver would be standing at my desk at 8:45am and I'd still have my coat on, no coffee and they'd be rambling on about this and that for the latest project. I'd just say, lemme go get a coffee and settle in and then I'll come see you. ~fool~. That fool part said in my head but probably showing on my face.

Most of all I just want my hubby home!! :crying: Not getting to talk to him enough (2x week??) because of our work schedules & time zone diff is really sucking! Skype and IM....gosh I feel like I am in the middle of an immigration process again! But at least then I got to talk to him almost everyday!

Wow, Minnew, what a rough day--Hope things get better for you going forward!

Yeah, i think pregnancy is pretty awesome -- I don't know first hand but i think it of others. I would never touch a pregnant lady's belly. How weird.

I've been warned about strangers wanting to touch my belly but so far, no one has. Maybe I'm not big enough yet--although I'm getting strangers giving up their skytrain seats for me during peak times. :)

You didn't watch the Hab's game? ohmy.gif

They're my new favorite team now that the Vancouver Canucks got eliminated.

My vent is about the 'joys' of home ownership  .

Lawd, I feel a headache coming on when I think about home stuff needing repairs. You know what's worst?--Revenue properties needing repairs. :(

All the pregnant ladies I've known say they generally HATE when strangers come and touch their bellies. I know for me I'd want to karate chop their wrists right the eff out of there. ugh.

Anyhoo... I came here to complain about the fact that I still have no AOS/EAD so can't work. And my husband STILL has no job. It's been 4 months now. But that's not even the complaint. The real complaint is that someone I don't even know, who's apparently a friend of my husband's mother from Canada, sent us a gift card from Sears for our wedding.... and my husband lost it. I don't even know ####### to do. It's $100, which to us is A LOT. I effing HATE gift cards. We've looked everywhere. We only got it 2 days ago, and it's already missing. They bought it in Canada, so I don't even know how they can get it refunded or anything. I'm pretty sure we're just out $100. Great.

And the 2nd part of that rant is that people I don't even know, and have never met in my life have given us waaay more than our actual friends and family (who, except for an aunt and uncle of mine, ONE of our friends, and my parents, basically gave us nothing).

Not that I'm selfish or anything and just want presents. But like.. really? I don't even know who these people are, and I've never met ANY of Dan's extended family... and they've even sent us stuff! And our own friends can't? Not even a card? Not even AN E-CARD?! yeeeah.

Doctor follow up yesterday....prescribed me allergy meds....forgot to say i preferred non-drowsy (I have damn job!!) Forgot to ask for a release to finish my physical part of TCI due to the mild concussion. Feel very tired and trying to study for my self paced med transcription course is hell on wheels when you are drowsy!! My bathroom is now a pharmacy!!

Have an allergy test at the end of the month....I CANNOT take ALLERGY MEDS for SEVEN days prior to the test! :crying: Oh boy that is going to be a dreadful week!! I have never had allergy problems like this until moving to the USA! Some of it may be from the puppy we got in October...I hope not:(

Ugh, this spring has been the worst. I believe I am allergic to where I live. Never had a problem before I moved to this part of Michigan 9 years ago but each spring, usually the end of April, beginning of May, my sinuses go NUTS. Good luck with that allergy tests. All the pills the doctors put me on did diddly squat. An over the counter med actually worked better. Speaking of which, I took the last one this morning. I had better head to the pharmacy for more.

Ugh...

What a way to wake up on a Saturday morning.

Long story short, a I get a call from John's cell...but it's not John. It's Officer so and so from the Berryville Police, informing me that John has just been in a motor vehicle accicent.

Good news: John is ok, no one else was hit or hurt and I'm glad I have insurance.

Bad news: John was given a ticket, truck has seen better days (going to fight to NOT have it written off), a damaged guard rail (which my insurance will cover, thankfully), and we still owe money on the truck so that if the DO write it off, I'll be paying for something we don't have anymore, and I can't afford to get another vehicle (even a crappy one.)

It just seems lately that things just can't go right, and when you think you have a a handle on the things that have happened in the past, more ####### gets piled onto the stuff that has already happened and you still haven't finished dealing with.

I just want to go crawl into a hole :crying:

Ugh, just had the air conditioning service here. Yes, the capacitor is burned out again - but the reason the capacitor is burned out is because the compressor is failing. It is working nearly twice as hard as it should be and that is burning out the capacitor. The solution? A new compressor at around $1500 or a new Air Conditioning Unit that will probably be around $2500. We have a temporary 'patch' with a new capacitor but there is no telling how long that will keep the system working. We are waiting the arrival of the sales representative to provide us with some options. Yes, there is a federal tax credit for installing a new high efficiency central air conditioner - but it means having to install a new furnace as well, which is not going to happen, so we are looking at State rebates. Still, it will be an expensive proposition no matter what.

Yes, it is confirmed that the apple tree has Fire Blight and is probably a goner as well. The Extension Services Rep will be out early this week to take samples of the Fig Tree which also looks like it has Fire Blight - but figs are not known to have it, so if it does, this is something new and definitely not good news. The two pears are supposed to be resistant but look like they might be slightly affected as well.

After this bad news I am not looking forward to the termite inspection on Monday - the last thing we need to hear now is that we have termites, too.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

So, my employer has been fighting our union on giving us our cost of living pay increase this year. They finally agreed to give it to us this year and next year, and then revisit the idea. However, they are going to make us now pay a portion of our health insurance premium, roughly $150 per month. The timing of this couldn't be worse.

So I have been a math and physics teacher for 9 years at the same school. Today, I found out, after I signed my contract a week ago for next year, that they have fired the science teacher, and I will now teach biology, chemistry, physics, and computers next year. UGH, why did I take so many classes in college so I am "endorsed" to teach so many things I don't like. UGH.

Better than being unemployed!!! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Then my husband... what a guy! Takes it out to go run some errands and parks it back under the tree... so my car is full of ####### again.
