That sucks... proflowers seems good but I want something other than flowers... they had this awesome lucky bamboo plant in the shape of a heart but its not available in Canada... what also sucks is my mother lives in small town Ontario so its hard to find anything by her that delivers. Maybe I should ask her to go pick up her gift at the Edible Arrangements place in Barrie... she likes fruit.

She's a fruit. :P

I'm ordering from a place in town.

They have decently priced arrangements.

My mom lives in the middle of no where though, so she'll have to wait till Monday to get flowers.

Im 7 weeks, apparently. I don't know why they factor in the exxtra 2 weeks. It makes no sense to me. All I can really drink is water and gingerale, oh and the occasional orange juice, D:

I just had my first Dr's appt today and had an ultrasound and they date me at 8 weeks 3 days. It was pretty exciting to see the baby and the heart beat!! I have found that I have been feeling a bit better this week, so I have my fingers crossed that the same happens for you too!!

Hey it's not my fault my mother chose to live in the middle of nowhere! Barrie is only 20 mins from her anyways and she said she has to go there anyways so I said: "K pick up your present too!" I used to send flowers and then a few months ago she told me she HATES flowers.

I have been sending her flowers for the past 10 years. blink.gif

My mother passed away 7 years ago in June and the cemetery is over 1200 miles away so I will be wishing her a Happy Mother's Day via a star :star: My brother, who lives 2 hours from the cemetery, will go there though, and bring her a double double Tim Hortons. She always loved those so on every Mother's Day since, my brother takes her one and pours it over her grave. Interestingly enough, the year that he was born, he was born on Mother's Day. (I was born the day after Father's Day :) ).

Not really a vent . . . just a sadness because I miss Mom.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Comcast.

Ugh.

Last weekend my husband calls to switch our cable, phone and internet over to our new address. So they make an appointment for today between 11:00 and 1:00. My husband calls at 12:00 because he has a weird feeling about it all, and they don't have our appointment in the system. They can't come here until Wednesday now, and for all of the troubles they caused they are going to give us a 20.00 credit. WOW.

My husband does a lot of freelance work and needs the internet. He's actually got a big project due next Friday, we can't be home next Wednesday because we're working. We took today off to get the cable set up and do some painting... they fvcking ruin lives. ** comcast.

This seems to happen all the time - the "your appointment is not in the system" thing. Are all ISPs using the same appointment software or something? Or is Lily in the office just writing this all down.

I called a month before we arrived in Calgary to set up our Shaw cable installation. Called a few days before - no record of the appointment. I called Telus on the day they were to come to install our internet/tv - I don't know if they missed it or not but when the technician called to say he was on his way he said "I just got your work order" or something to that effect - implying he had never seen it before.

Yea I have no idea what is going on... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to come set up cable. They tried making us feel like the idiots, we called them twice and each time they had a different excuse. They are morons. I hate the fact that we can't switch either, they have services that fios doesn't offer. Sucks to their assmar!

I'm on someones else's wireless network right now so thank you "Poohbear11" :P

I sent my mom a card. I'm going to go visit her in August for a month though, which I will treat her to our favorite chinese resturant that we always eat at together. I miss my mom so much, we were so close. I think I left the nest too early, but what can I do..I made the decision. I just HAD to get married at 19. Not that I regret it, but I sometimes wish I had waited...or simply not dated. :'P
