Yea I understand that it sucks to have a salary freeze, but sooo many companies and places are doing this because of the economy. My sons school district isn't being hit as hard as others and I am thankful for that.

But I read a new article every day that just makes me a little more bitter.

Bell canada employs retards in their billing dept overseas or wherever the hell they are....

i just spent 30 mins trying to get them to send me my refund since they dinged my CC twice for my bill. and the dumb chick is like ok i'll remove the charges..WHAT CHARGES..i have my bill you owe me 30$...it says so on it! then she trys to say i did not send back my modem..which i did..have the canada post stamp and everything.

and then i find out even though i was in ontario they were dinging me for quebec taxes the whole time...even though i had my address fixed 3 freaking times. i had to make sure twice they send the chq to my usa address..she kept asking me for postal code..over and over..im like I MOVED OUT OF CANADA ..ya dumb beatch....jfdkafjdaksfjdsalkfjdaklsfjdal;sk

Ugh I know Bell Canada customer service is ridic. Call abck and speak to someone else and keep calling until you get someone that knows that they are talking about. They were horrendous to deal with when I moved.

I couldn't wait to send them my cancellation fee so that I could get them out of my life!

I don't know how old this double charge is, but you might want to contact them again (to assure yourself that they have credited you the $30.00). If not, you might want to contact your credit card company and let them know you were double billed and have them get the money back from Bell.

Isn't Bell Canada owned by the teachers union retirement fund?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_Canada appears it was ALMOST the case!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
