Honestly, I'm bothered by it on a more philosophical / anthropological level. It's the mentality of virtually anything being more important than an interview date that galls me...and that someone thinks they can simply have their consulate reschedule it a few days earlier to make things more convenient. As if their consulate doesn't have enough things to do already!

I guess some of us don't let immigration proceedings interfere with the business of life. Not everyone will put their lives on hold..... they will continue to make plans hoping they don't interfere with some nebulous date which can't be forseen. If it turns out it does, there is a workaround solution. It probably bothers you because you want that date more than anything, whereas some people just go with the flow. Try not to worry, Wyatt. Your date will come. :)

I'm sooooooooo angry at this!

I want my 180 dollars back <_<

I would be SUPER ticked at this. Not that they've removed it from the requirements..... That is an extremely good thing. But the fact that so many people were unnecessarily subjected to this. THAT was unfair. I am convinced it was the pharmaceutical industry which was behind the push to begin with. THAT makes me uber angry.:angry::angry:

I'm not worried. :) Yeah, I suppose I overreacted to that yesterday. It was just the way I read that thread...it made it seem like the fact that an interview was scheduled was a big inconvenience. Okay, I still feel that way. But I'll hush up about it now since folks are thinking I'm irritated on a personal level, which I'm not. ;)

I would be angry about that too! However, there IS a bright side (albeit a sort of murky one). There are some studies that indicate that this vaccination can help prevent cervical cancer. So you never know...by being vaccinated, there's a slight chance that you could have dodged a future bullet.

I'm definitely ticked by it. I'm happy they've removed it from the requirements - that it can now be up to the beneficiary as to whether or not they wish to pursue this vaccine (as it always should've been). However, the money I put out for the first dose only three weeks ago could've been better spent elsewhere.

And, what irritates me is that it doesn't take affect for 30 days. So, what of the women going for their medicals and interviews now? Are they really going to be forced into this? The publication from CDC repeatedly states that the clarification of the criteria doesn't come into affect for another 30 days.

I certainly hope it works out for them as well.

Yikes.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Hey Sam and Ben... that is just crappy, if I may say -- mainly in regard to people who had to pay for the shots and now, they're no longer necessary? Sorry for you guys, I would have been cheesed as well -- close to a couple hundred bucks is nothing to sneeze at...

Sorry for everyone that had to go through this...

:)

The person who offered to buy my house has backed out. Now I have to go home and put everything that I have ripped apart , and started packing up back together to do showings again.

Thankfully it was only a couple of smaller rooms and should only take a few hours, but still...THIS SUCKS!

UGH! I'm so sorry to hear that, Colleens. How aggravating that must be!

At least it really only is 2 small rooms and it shouldn't take me too long to do. I am just glad that I had not already sold/gave away the stuff from those rooms that I am not taking!!! There was lots of interest, so hopefully I should be able to get another offer soon *fingers crossed*!

How annoying colleens! Yes, there was lots of interest so you shouldn't have any problem selling it - but still, I understand your frustration!

It was interesting to read your guys comments on wow guilds. We have our own guild, it's been in place for over 2 years now (my Husband set it up before I started playing wow). We don't have any of the moronic jokes or porn star vent chatters etc. It just wouldn't happen.
