Everyone has their flaws right?

My husband doesn't chew with his mouth open (thank god) but he takes the worlds biggest bites, it's absolutely insane. We'll sit down to eat, and he'll be done before I'm even half done, and he eats so much more! It's the worst when we have pasta. He shovels a huge folkfull into his mouth and then sits there looking like he has balloons for cheeks :dead:

My mother would look at him pointedly and say..."Where's the fire? Take time to enjoy the taste instead of shovelling it in'...and then she'd go back to slowly chewing as she always has :) I know this because my older brother has shovelled food in ever since I can remember...you'd think people were coming to take his plate away if he didn't eat fast enough.

My personal pet peave is people who use their thumb to push that last little bit onto their fork/ spoon. It is incredibley bad manners to do that...but it's acountry thing...my best friend does it, but I ignore her

Ugh. Chewing with your mouth open is THE most disgusting thing ever. :dead:

My flaws? I laugh at everything, even serious situations, I can't help it. People say: "Oh you must be nervous!" No I do find strange things absolutely hilarious... sorry?

I laughed at my grandpas funeral because the sniffling started to go to the beat of that "do wa diddy diddy" song, it could have very well been my imagination, and most certainly probably was. But when I busted out laughing so did the rest of my family, and I don't think they knew why they were laughing but damn it felt good to finally let that out at the time.

OMG. At my aunt's father's funeral there was some random girl there who was bawling her eyes out throughout the entire service. I mean sobbing bawling. I kept asking everyone who she was and nobody knew! Well, that just got me giggling and I had to keep suppressing it, which makes it even worse. No one ever did find out who she was. LOL

Spring has definitely sprung here and the tree pollen is unbelievable.

Ugh. We were in NC last weekend and came out the next day to go to church and the pollen on the car was crazy! I've never seen anything like it. My husband said he's never seen it that bad, either. Unfortunately, he suffers from allergies so he's been sleeping in the other bedroom. lol

So I was thinking it was just me at first, but it seems that the people in this area are very gruff and unfriendly, as well as unhelpful. The people in the shops get very passive-aggressive about helping you when they're the ones who offered their assistance to begin with! :o I miss Florida and their friendly, laid-back ways. :(

Welcome to DC,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Is there a city in Canada without a China town? Canada has a very high asian population. Poor man, probably doesn't get out too much.

That's what I was thinking! I have lived in some pretty small towns and everyplace had at least Chinese take-out.

Same here.. every town/city I have lived in... even places in rural Northern Ontario always had a Chinese restaurant.

The city of Toronto has two major China towns... there's like 6 or 7 in the entire GTA

The part that I found strangest about that entire encounter was, Why did he feel the need to tell me where he was from? Is there some sort of Canadian psychic link that lets you know when you are in the presence of other Canadians and this somehow lingers onto their spouses? The guy was freaking hilarious though. He looked like an 85 year old Rick Astley. I thought I was gonna get Rick Roll'd IRL.
