I would leave your cat food out, it sounds like your cat may be a grazer rather than a scheduled eater. She's gorging because she's too hungry. Cats are very picky about food and will throw up any time they eat too much/too fast.

Hubby's kitties are grazers too. I bought them the top-of-the-line automatice stainless steel pet feeder ($700!) which dispenses cat food at certain times at a predetermined amount. People including hubby thought I was crazy and I got buyer's remorse but it's been two years now and we LOVE that thing. The cats don't wake up hubby from sleep for food anymore and we can go on week-long vacation without worrying about them starving. One of the best investment I ever made!

I can't believe the price differential between US and Canada on baby strollers! The one we're looking at...the Chicco Cortina travel system costs US$299 at Babies R Us in Seattle, but the same one costs C$429 at Babies R Us in Vancouver!

Yeaaah.

The price difference in the US to Canada is insane.

What's sad is that some of the products are made in Canada yet we have to pay more for them.

ARGH! So even though I have a new job, I agreed to continue to work for my old boss one day a week. Since I'm in training, I told him I would work Sundays until my regularly scheduled shift started.

The first Sunday, he forgets to send me a list of items to do.

So, we skip that Sunday and up to last night before I went to bed, I still hadn't heard from him on the list of items he wanted me to work on, even though on Wednesday, he asked if I were still on for working, which I replied to as soon as I read it.

I get up the morning at 8:30am, and find an email of the list he wants done....sent at 11:30pm!

He knows that today I cannot work very long because of a Caps game we are going to, so I needed the list early so that I could work early!

The man seriously needs a lesson in clear communication.

Poor kitty, sounds like a trip to the vet is in order?

I thought about that but she was just there recently and $400 later!! complete check-up with blood work was all normal! I find the vet charges much more expensive here.

I would leave your cat food out, it sounds like your cat may be a grazer rather than a scheduled eater. She's gorging because she's too hungry. Cats are very picky about food and will throw up any time they eat too much/too fast.

I wondered about that as well. The only problem is when I leave the cat's food down the dog sneaks into it. I think I will try though and just keep a close eye on the pup.

Thanks for the suggestions :)

If pup is getting into the kitty's food, you could always try to put the kitty's food up on a counter/table/desk where they can get to, but pup cannot.

Yup, used to do that in my old house but she finds the counter too high here. Maybe a stool would help. I really need to try something. I don't think she's sick; I think it is a gorging problem so I'll experiment with a few things. Thanks.

I HATE Delta.

I just got back home last night from my week vacation with my honey. My bags were delayed in Detroit when I flew to Montreal, and then when I was flying out of Montreal yesterday they were delayed AGAIN.

Someone on another forum said something about they sometimes do it for security checks, but why in the world would they check my bag twice. All I have is clothes in there!

Anyway, the girl last night promised it would be here before midnight(last night), they would call before delivering and they wouldn't leave it on the front step. All 3 promises were broken. And when I called the delayed baggage people this morning the woman yelled at me and said she didn't know what my problem was because I had my bag.

Oh, and did I mention that I was forced to miss work today because I actually live and work 3 hours away from my uncles house? I had to stay in Lexington so I could get my bag and then I was going to leave super early to get to work on time. Delta had other plans.

Vent thread on page 4?! Pfft.

So, at the beginning of March, I traded in my Ontario driver's license (which was valid for another two years) for a Florida driver's license. I was given the usual 30-day temp and went on my way expecting the card to appear in the mail.

Well, the damn temp expires on Saturday. I made an appointment for first thing this morning to figure out what's what, as I obviously didn't want to let the thing expire before I did anything. Once again, the receptionist had their head up their butt, looked at my passport and told me I probably wouldn't receive a card in the mail because they weren't going to give me anything past the temp due to my I-94 expiring a couple of days ago. Hah! I told her I wasn't told that when I applied, I was told that I would receive a one-year license in the mail within thirty days, and that I obviously wouldn't have traded in my perfectly valid Ontario license had I been told this.

So she issued me a number anyhow, said that someone else would figure out what was what.

So 'someone', though very nice, couldn't do ####### for me. He said that I couldn't have them "reapply" for me until it was expired... which is completely unhelpful - how am I to get there if it's expired?! He did check the system to see if my license was being held due to residency issues like the first woman had told me, and she was wrong... there's no hold. Apparently I just haven't received it yet. So he gave me a phone number to call - assumingly, customer service - where I can call to see if they've actually sent it out yet or not.

Aaaand now I'm on hold.

I so hate the DMV.

Aaaand now I'm on hold.

I so hate the DMV.

People work at the DMV until they get seniority, then they eat donuts until they collect their pension.

It's very agitating to work with them on pretty much every occasion. Peachey and I had one guy make us stand there while he got out a manual and read it to try and figure out how to do what we asked him to do.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

I never hated the licensing office at home. It was never busy, always polite folks behind the counter... always straight-forward.

Damn immigration tossing a wrench into what is already a major pita.

Lol After going through some hassle getting some stuff done for my wife we both came to the conclusion that the immigration process for her spousal visa as well as all that she went through with immigration with her family the 15 years before that has COMPLETELY taken away any patience we have now. Whenever someone in a customer service job or anything like that starts giving her the run-around I swear she turns into a 5'2 wolverine and starts going nuts on them. Somehow it really seems to get stuff moving Lol

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)
