I don't agree with your GP about taking them out. They do still work. It sucks though that the ENT wait is so long. :(

I hope you find a solution soon. I know how terrible it is.

Thanks. ENT has the final say, so we shall see. REALLY hoping this new stuff helps.

I just got a panicked phone call from my last client.

Apparently in the week since I've stopped working for them, they managed to take my elegant solution (which I was very proud of) and break it irreparably.

They aren't even capable of describing what they did to it in a fashion that would let me help them out.

/sigh

Lol Just take it as a compliment that you're too awe-inspiringly powerful for them to interpret your work :)

Ant, I can't cut the fish oil pills up...the oil will leak! And uh, I'm one of the few peeps out there who gag on the taste of chewable vitamins, even if they're made for kids.

There's no hope for me.

$8 bucks for cigarettes! Hot damn!

I take Mega Red--Omega 3 Kril oil, and NO taste what so ever! Buy them at Costco. 90 day supply for around $19. At the hospital, for people that can't swallow or refuse the taste of certain pills (not all are crushable, but most are) we crush them and mix them in apple sauce!!, or some kind of fruit sauce!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

swd,

I hope the prednisone works for your daughter. It is supposed to reduce the inflammation so it should become easier for her to breathe and swallow. It isn't an antibiotic so they still need to address the reason for the tonsillitis, but the medicine should help her feel more comfortable. Do keep an eye on her though, because the prednisone does affect the ability of the immune system to fight off infections, and be sure to follow the dosing schedule absolutely - don't just stop them abruptly without the doctor's supervision - they need to be tapered off otherwise they can cause serious side effects.

I used to have chronic tonsillitis as a teenager - I suspect the antibiotics I was given never completely addressed the infection so I kept getting re-occurances until I got the correct antibiotic that completely cleared up the infection. I haven't had a problem since.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

She's only on it for 5 days, and same antibiotics as before. If she is not any better tomorrow I am going to ask about a different antibiotics. I just can't believe they have let it go like this since December.

Thank You

I am trying...LOL

Hubby does have good insurance. I also email Dr. Seiden office to see if it would affect her medical if it's not cleared up. They said to bring a note from our GP and a list of meds she's on.

On the plus side it caused you to leave this vent which reminded me to get my address updated with them so I don't get another check and to get my direct deposit stuff done before I do my taxes so I dont have to worry about the refund (if i get one)

Well you're welcome Danu! Glad my angry vent could help you out! ;)

Lol Vent for today, people who text at friggin 7AM IN THE MORNING. I have to get up around 7:45, I'd highly like to enjoy that last 45 minutes without being texted about some stupid thing that could've waited until later in the day :)

 Don't you just HATE people who have no concept of time? I have a friend who likes to do the opposite... she texts me at 2am to ask me to come on MSN and talk. Its 2am, I'm sleeping! Geez.

just spent about 2.5 hours on the phone trying to book a plane trip for myself, nessa, and baby boy to go visit brazil at the end of march. the orbitz rep, who i'll refer to as "miss don't have a clue" found my account in orbitz, saw that nessa and i had a previous trip in oct 2008, and everything was going great until we got to the part about passports. oh no, nessa cannot fly on her brazilian passport. and why not? she just can't - can she get a us passport? um no!

apparently miss don't have a clue, even though she was told at the start that nessa has a green card, thought that nessa was going to use her brazilian passport to enter the usa on. um no, that's what the green card is for.

:o Wow! How frustrating is that?! It blows my mind how clueless some people can be, especially when it comes to what a permanent resident is vs. a being citizen.

The other day when I was at one of the many DMV's I've visited, I was talking to the lady behind the counter about issues I was having with a license because of immigration technicalities, etc. Then she asked to see my birth certificate? I asked why. She said, to prove your citizenship. Ummm, really? Did you not just get any of what I just explained to you? If I was a US citizen I certainly wouldn't be having issues with the immigration system! Yeesh.

She's only on it for 5 days, and same antibiotics as before. If she is not any better tomorrow I am going to ask about a different antibiotics. I just can't believe they have let it go like this since December.

:( I hope your daughter feels better soon sdw

They say death comes in threes...

In September, it was my maternal grandfather.

In November, it was my paternal grandmother.

Now, it's my dear Uncle Dale.

I never got to see him often because I lived in the Midwest all my life and he and my aunt lived in Pennsylvania, but we got along SO well the few times we did get to meet up. He was so awesome. We had this inside joke because we both used to be so gluttonous: "We do not eat to live; we live to eat!"

I'm not a Christian, but I hope, if there is an afterlife, that it is good to him.

At least he's not suffering anymore.

Ugh. -_- If my family could stop dying now, that would be wonderful.
