Well i'm thinking the only way they could be related is that when they were working on your car the other day they knocked something loose, like a hose.

i told seiden i'd get it all taken care of including vacciantions in chicago..he did'nt say no exactly but he mroe or less told me not a good idea blah blah..but the mam / ultrasound he insisted on. i even called back to say "you recevied my updated vaccines..now i'll take care of rest in usa"..i was told by receptionist when she called back " no sorry you have to do it now, and you have to have a dr letter sent to us".

i just wanna cry :( why is it every time i get close to the end some freaking hellish problem crops up!!! :crying:

I know you're anxious Kim, but it truly will be done shortly, and then you'll be sending things back to the Consulate and will have your visa! Sorry that there seems to be so many snaffu's! You really don't want to have these things done in Chicago. I don't pay for mammograms, but let me tell you...if you don't have insurance, you'll be trying to look to have them done some place for free, or paying approximately $400.00 for one here.

Best get it done there while you can.

Some people have no %$@&@ common sense or concern for others! Unit 1 over and up for us is putting in hard wood flooring! Sure it will make that unit look nice, BUT for the people directly below them and possibly us, it is really going to be noisy!! I found the page on our condo docs that states no hard wood flooring!!! So scanned that and emailed that to condo pres and to the management co. Not pleased! Maybe it wont cause any excess noise, but that hasn't been my experience in the past regarding hard wood!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

There is extra sound proofing you can buy when installing hard wood. It's more expensive, but maybe that's what they are doing?

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11

yep, lol!! For the most part its fine! The neighbors directly above us are fine--but now that idiot 1 over and up, well prob not so fine! maybe it wont make a difference, who knows! When we buy our hose, plan is to have the house just wood/tile!! House in Victoria was all wood/tile and was soo nice!!

But I have come to the conclusion, 1 notices a lot more idiots when you live in a condo, lol 1 thing that really irks me is garbage bins! maybe its just me, but if you have 1 full garbage bin and 6 other EMPTY garbage bins, which bin do u put ur garbage into? WRONG!! you put it into the full 1 so the raccoons can get into it and make a mess! I always thought one should put it into the EMPTY ones!

THEN 2 yrs back we had parking issues!! renters were parking 6 cars. Were not a huge development, so only take s a few idiots to ruin it and take up all the parking! so bunch of us complained so now we have 1 spot reserved and we get 1 visitor sot, so each unit has 2 spots! and a towing company occasionally patrols the lot. The parking co. does NOT get paid if all is fine, they only get paid by towing! Which ticks some people off, but park legally and ur good to go!!

So can't wait to move this Spring when the wife returns from her travel excursion! House hunting will be in full swing then. Just started looking at redfin.com, handy site!!

Ugh. Moving. It's looking more and more like we'll just keep this house and rent up there until we've had a chance to familiarize ourselves with the area. I hate the thought of people moving into my house here. I was cleaning the shower this morning and thinking.... "I KNOW people aren't going to take care of my house like I do!" How do I make them do that? :crying:
