I got a call today from my aunt that her boyfriend's grandma is dying. :( She's in her early 90's. She has a blood filled sac in her lungs and is bleeding in her brain. Poor woman. :(

I'm sorry to hear that, Mal. Hopefully they find a way to make her remaining time as comfortable as possible.

The stuff we had was amazing.

It was "imported" from Russia at great expense.

The absinthe you are legally allowed to buy in the U.S. is thujone free. It is regulated in europe, but not at many of the bars that produce their own.

argh so mad...

so on monday i was suposed to have both a mamogram and an ulrasound on my breast lump for dr. seiden to release my medical. monday they call me to say they can only do the ultrasound cuz the women for the mamogram is out with the flu. ok np they reschedule me for today. well stupid me goes in yesterday thiking it was today only to have the receptionist tell me i'm a day early..argh 30$ on taxi wasted /sigh. so i get home last night and they call me to say oops the mamogram machine just broke.. WTSH1TE, are you seroius??? So i get a call now saying my appointment is now tomorrow at 9am.

ARGH and of course when i call Dr. seiden they tell me " we cant release anyting until we have results from BOTH tests and a letter from your doctor" even if i wanted to take care of this in the states..

Since when do they refuse a medical cuz of something that even they at dr. seiden do not think is worrysome or bad etc. and why cant' i take care of this later? i thougth all the immigration ppl cared about was vaccines, tb, and diseases...

Soo frustrated right now..GRRRR.

That must be so frustrating for you kimbear! I agree with you, they should have had you agree/not agree to have them release the information to your own doctor and noted that in the results - end of panel physician medical.

i told seiden i'd get it all taken care of including vacciantions in chicago..he did'nt say no exactly but he mroe or less told me not a good idea blah blah..but the mam / ultrasound he insisted on. i even called back to say "you recevied my updated vaccines..now i'll take care of rest in usa"..i was told by receptionist when she called back " no sorry you have to do it now, and you have to have a dr letter sent to us".

i just wanna cry :( why is it every time i get close to the end some freaking hellish problem crops up!!! :crying:

you will never guess what happened on the way home from work today... I noticed my car starting to overheat so I pulled off the freeway and took the side streets and then my car started to smoke so I pulled over and noticed that coolant was leaking out of the car so I called AAA and got my car towed to the mechanic again ... ugh....

they are going to call us tomorrow to let us know what is wrong with it...

oh and it was too funny.. I got the same tow truck driver as last time ....

huh? what does Covina have to do with anything? ..lol my car is just falling apart :P

But obviously the place that tried to fix your car didn't fix it correctly! A good mechanic will never let a car out of the garage until it's definitively working properly!

Sounds like a related problem to your last one. Hope they don't charge you this time.

last time was the transmission though.. there was no overheating...

my car had a major overheating problem last year and we let it go for too long... had to get everything replaced but it was never quite the same after that...

but I don't really know a whole lot about cars.. so maybe the two are related...

I would bet a large sum of money that they are. The whole cooling system and transmission are connected...and problems with one can easily lead to problems with the other.
