Same here. Anything that has a chat or forums on it is essentially blocked, but for some reason, this site remains unfiltered.

...

So I call in for my 3 hour knowledge transfer conference call, understanding that I'm the one with the knowledge and the buttwipes people on the other end are the ones I'm to make understand.

I say hi, the project manager goes "oh, that's Varba and I gotta go, so take it from here Varba" *click*

So, whatever, I've been there before, it's annoying but I do my best, even figured out how to say all their names (which made me hungry for indian food - i know.... wrong... but true... ) and start talking for like 20 minutes.

Suddenly there's a loud beep, beep, beep, BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. Like eardrum shattering loud.

I go "What is that?"

*Silence*

"Hello?"

"Hi" x5

"Ok, do you guys know what that was?"

*Silence*

"No"

"Er, ok... guess I'll keep going"

*2 minutes later*

beep, beep, beep, BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

"Ok, we have to fix this, does anyone know how to?"

"Maybe if we disconnect and reconnect."

*everyone disconnects and reconnects"

beep, beep, beep, BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

"Well, why don't you just continue anyhow."

So, for the next hour and a half, I continued my meeting with a shrieking phone, just pausing every time it shrieked - which was about every 2 minutes on the nose.

My brain hurts so bad.

:bonk:

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Lol I always hate when someone refuses to listen or read the Mute Phone instructions and then you end up hearing about their day or how boring a presentation is while they're typing away on Yahoo Messenger :wow:

Life, I hate you right now.

Dear Darkchilde794,

Recent events have brought about changes in how you and I see each other, but I want you to know that at the end of the day, I've got your back, just as I know you've got mine. There are going to be dark days ahead, as well as bright ones, but through it all I value our friendship and promise you that I would do nothing whatsoever to intentionally hurt what we have together. Please forgive me for my recent transgressions. I know we can get beyond this.

With love,

Mmm. Pizza.

You know, every time I drive past a Tim Hortons I think of you charles.

I picked up a box of timbits once to mail to you, but I didn't think the mailman would deliver to:

Charles!

visajourney.com, the internet

So I ate them.

Sorry.
