the tow truck driver said it was transmission fluid...

would the water pump cause the car to not accelerate anymore though.. like I stepped on the gas and nothing happened but the car was still running

well yeah, cause a water pump will leak when it starts going out and then the engine overheats and eventually seizes.

well yeah I know that much but that wasn't what happened in this case.. my car just wouldn't accelerate anymore... there was no overheating or anything

I was getting worried that we would have to buy me another car or something.. phew, I am so relieved now...

I just hate that I had to miss work today.. I feel bad about that but at least they are understanding and were more worried about me then anything when i didn't show up for work this morning..

engine runs and won't go anywhere - it's from the transmission to the rear axles somewhere. usually transmission.

engine runs and won't go anywhere - it's from the transmission to the rear axles somewhere. usually transmission.

yeah if you read a few post above .. they found the problem was the transmission line...

Ugh. add us to car problems. Wes bought a new (used) car in June after his transmission in the truck blew up. The car misfired a couple months ago and hasn't been running right since. It will start to lurch and such while idling at a stop light. They had said they couldn't find anything wrong with it last time he had it in, thankfully they didn't charge him, but this time apparently we need to replace some of the cabling, the spark plugs, and flush the transmission fluid because its all dirty. Cost of parts and labor? Over $500. All this after all the costs of moving and getting set up here. I feel horrible because I feel like I should be working like yesterday to help out. I kind of want to cry. :crying:

Ugh Danu, when it rains it pours eh? So sorry that you're having car problems. Repairs always suck! Don't cry though! You'll be working soon enough..I'm sure Wes understands.

So sorry steph:( car problems suck. It won't be long until you are able to work. It's going to feel like forever but it will fly by so fast. In the meantime though I know you guys will make it work, this is just a molehill not a mountain.
