We have CIBC visa cards. We changed our address when we moved back here, in the interim we gave them my Sister's address in Nebraska.

np - our bills come here.

My Sister just told me they sent my Husband's new visa to her house. How dumb is that.

And to top it off, the card has a balance on it - nothing wrong with that, we use our cards all the time and pay them off - but I wasn't aware so now we have an overdue amount!!!! (the last bill I received here at our new address was back in October and at that time we had a credit balance).

I am meticulous about paying bills - I can't even tell you how long it's been since I paid one late. Plus of course we are doing the mortgage thing right now. So I just called and 'discussed' it with them, of course my Husband has to call later but she assures me if it was their fault they will correct the credit bureau report. IF!! HA.

I just have to update this as I was really mad at CIBC Visa yesterday - they were great. My Husband spoke to them last night, I did too, they were very nice, apologized, took the late 'flag' off the account, refunding any interest charged and investigating why it happened. (of course I will be calling back to check all of that  )

You know what kind of bothers me? The amount of people on FB who make their status update: "Just donated a generous amount of money to the people of Haiti"

Are you doing it to help people? Or are you doing it to try to look good?

I just think it's sort of done in vain. Just had to get that off my lopsided chest.

I totally hate that too. It angers me to no end.

I just unfriended someone yesterday because of all that proselytizing ####### I've seen in her live feeds.

Word. My son emailed me today to tell me that all his friends have a cell phone and he thinks its time for him to have one.

Yea the closest thing you'll have to a cell phone is a tin can with a string on it. Let's talk about it again when you're 16.

I use my husbands, I don't actually have one either.

I don't even carry it with me because I don't like people having access to me all of the time. Like my mom.

That's one of the main reasons I don't own one -- I like to do things like, drive, shop, sleep, use the bathroom etc. without interruption.

Wyatt, you can hide her status updates from your feeds--no need to unfriend her unless you really mean it. FB folks take "unfriending" seriously!

My wife has a cell phone, and I have a digital phone landline. I get unlimited local and long distance calling for $45 per month, and she has one of those " free evenings and weekend" plans, meaning that it's really cheap and convenient for us to talk after 6:00 my time. Fortunately she has later work hours -- 10:00 to 6:00 -- meaning that we generally chat and/or watch a movie for two or three hours before she goes to bed.

And we email each other throughout the day. Sometimes constantly, sometimes sporadically.

We're both very independent, and yet we're also very close -- we haven't gone a day without speaking on the phone or in person in nearly two years.

Oh, and as for the FB thing...it was no great loss, I assure you. I'm a really bad Facebook friend anyhow. Many of the people I have on mine I don't particularly care that much about... there are just fellow high school grads, college grads, former co-workers, poets, an ex-girlfriend, some musicians, some VJers and some friends. And some that fall into many of those categories! A real motley crew. :P

My husband had a cell phone and I used a landline. I owned a phone a year before I moved down but I didn't really use it. Omg I hated it actually, people don't even use it to phone you it's just like an instant messenger in your pocket. I hate texting.

This all made me laugh!!!

And word on the texting thing -- it's handy and all (get it, HANDY!?!?) but damn, I am bad at it and I am a stickler for correct usage, spelling and grammar so, don't even try to get all CU2nite on my azz because I will cut a b1tch!

;)

I don't have a landline, just a cellphone but I'll tell you -- I am lucky if it rings a few times a week...
