My vent for the day, after unpacking our truck in the rain and being cold and wet most of yesterday it seems I have now come down with a cold. I'm going to end up getting married tomorrow with a stuffy nose :( Wes assures me that my nose will match my dress though.

I have a list yes. But I live in Toronto? Do you think she'd have some connections out this way?

It would really make me happy to donate this nice stuff to people who need it. Seriously...

lgg, I can ask my aunt in New West. She does a lot of volunteer work for the less fortunate. Do you have a list of items?

My first car is a 2009 Honda Accord EX-L V8. Before that, it was (and still is) public transit for me.

"BRAND NEW VENT"

Seriously...what type of parent assures their child that they will be at the Greyhound Bus Depot to pick them up and drive them back to the town where they both live, which is two hours away and not on said bus route.....AND THEN NOT SHOW UP..OR ANSWER THEIR PHONE, OR RESPOND TO MESSAGES?????????

yup....my Ex-Husband!! unfruckingbeleivable!!!!!

OMG, hope your child is OK! What was his excuse?

Yea...he is fine....thankfully he had a friend he called and spent the night there.....I called in a favour and arranged a ride home for him today...

It just really pisses me off because this isn't a one time thing. My son is in his late teens, and has desperatly been trying to have a relationship with his father. My ex is selfish and frankly..I considered myself to be a single parent for most of their childhood. My ex continuously tells my son "yes..we will do this" and then either bails at the last minute..or pulls a no show...and my son FORGIVES him every time and goes back for more. IMO..it has got worse since the ex moved in with the gf (whom he was having an affair with from 2004 to 2006 when I found out) . She really wants nothing to do with either child and gets quit indignant when they try to have some of his time. She even told my ex inlaws( remember..we were married for 20 years and dated 2.5 before we wed) that they are to have zero contact with me..and my ex goes along!!

And frankly..since she got pregnant ( she is 30..ex is 47 and it was IVF) she has become unbearable!! My daughter is due three months after and the GF had the nerve to call my daughter and ###### a blue streak that she got pregnant 'on purpose to steal her attention" and swore that the EX would NOT visit the grandchild until she saw fit.....

I understand that this is NOT MY BATTLE and I stay out as much as possible..mostly for my own sake..but it rips my heart out when I hear this stuff.....My future son-in-law pretty much despises the ex and hates the GF even more . In some way I am glad I ammoving out of the country..so I don't have to deal with it.....but I swear..I totally beleive in Karma and I wait for the day it hits them. And in some small way, I even feel bad for their unborn child..because me and my two kids have already lived through what it is about to face.......

anyway....Thanks for letting me vent....

deputy sheriff was out, he stated i'm breaking no laws. and oh btw, that guy isn't the supervisor of that shop - i have the supervisor's name now and i'll be paying that supervisor a visit on tuesday, with pics of the car parked. so basically, i've run into the napoleon of the street cleaning crew who's trying to flex what little influence he has.

the officer thinks the picture taking was for trying to get the car towed, which has to be approved by the supervisor. just i plan on beating him to that.

follow up to the above: talked to the county engineer. since part of it is on county property, they can insist that it be moved in dire cases blah blah. i suggested my plan b - move it about 4' to the right and it will be on my property. county engineer said i can do that.

in essence, one truckload of gravel $20, an hour or two of prep work and spreading gravel, and then the county can kiss my butt.

and napolean still can't push snow there as my car is still in the way

Yay! Awesome evil plan! Cost effective, and still manages to p1ss off the proper person!

which gives me an incentive to remove that tree stump this spring, so i can put the car back a bit right on the spot where they want to push snow.

We have CIBC visa cards. We changed our address when we moved back here, in the interim we gave them my Sister's address in Nebraska.

np - our bills come here.

My Sister just told me they sent my Husband's new visa to her house. How dumb is that.

And to top it off, the card has a balance on it - nothing wrong with that, we use our cards all the time and pay them off - but I wasn't aware so now we have an overdue amount!!!! (the last bill I received here at our new address was back in October and at that time we had a credit balance).

I am meticulous about paying bills - I can't even tell you how long it's been since I paid one late. Plus of course we are doing the mortgage thing right now. So I just called and 'discussed' it with them, of course my Husband has to call later but she assures me if it was their fault they will correct the credit bureau report. IF!! HA.

You know how you call a place of business and end up figuring everything out for them - they are not doing their job, you are?

I was just sitting here thinking about CIBC and their inability to have our correct address on file.

Which made me think about the CRA, whom I called earlier today as I had written to them in like September/October, they replied at the end of November, I immediately sent some information back then never heard anything. So I called them today, they told me to call back if I hadn't heard back by April.

Which then made me think about our last 2 car insurance companies. I have asked the first one for a letter of experience 3 times, I asked the last one once. Yes, you guessed it, I have received zero.

Is anyone actually doing their job out there <echo> <echo>
