Sometimes, even though blood related, some people are not meant to get along.

:)

Sorry you have to go through this during a time of great joy.

Thanks, Igg. The thing is I do get along with my mother. :-( I just want her to be there for me and it hurts when she doesn't approve or doesn't care.

Here is a kitty.

This made me smile! :-) Thanks.

Ravenesque-Sorry to hear that you got that type of response from your mom....((hugs)))

Maybe she's in some sort of shock, denial, or whatever else, at the moment and couldn't think of what else to say..

Has she ever acted like this around you before?

Don't worry, she'll eventually change her mind about this, especially when she sees that little bundle of grandchild joy in her arms..:)

Congrats about seeing the hearbeat too...That is certainly a great feeling to have to know that the baby is ok...

Wait until you get the ultrasound photos too (in week 16-20 or so)..Now that is extra comforting there...

Good luck too with the rest of the pregnancy....

And we on vj will be there for you, even if your mom isn't..:)

Lol..If it makes you feel any better, my mom/dad was kind of the same way with me before too..(and in ways still is...oh well..time to move on..lol..)

So I told my mom today that I'm pregnant (first pregnancy), that I'm due in Aug 21st. Her response?--Indifference. She said, "Yeah yeah. I don't care what you do with your life."

"Well...I'm done." Then I went upstairs and :crying: .

It does take the sting out of it a bit. I'm still hurt but I'm putting it aside for now cuz I just got back from my first ultrasound and am relieved baby is doing fine and has a heartbeat. :-)

Team J and B- Congrats about your pregnancy!..:)

All the best to you and your baby for a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Btw..Cute pic of your son too. And good luck with the Canadian Citizenship for both of your children later on too.

Ravenesque -

Sorry to hear that! I'm due a month before you. I won't tell anyone till I start showing.

Aiya...

My vent. It has been almost 6 weeks since my wife got her green card, and we have been asking her parents to send her ROE and a copy of her resume that was saved on her parents computer ever since. All they have to do is click half a dozen times in an email and send it off. But now I have to go and ask her to call and remind them yet again because they have forgot. I know she hates asking them, but we are really kind of stuck. :(

Can you access it remotely? (the resume)

This made me smile! :-) Thanks.

I had to check your name history because I was sure I used to call you Raven! lol

Give your parents some time. The only way for them to overcome their biases is for them to get to know your husband and realize he is a good man. Eventually, they will come to terms with the direction your life has taken. Sometimes when people hurt, it comes out in ways that don't make sense. If they were formerly loving parents, they'll come around. (F)

If she's ever emailed it to someone, it could still be in her sent box. That's where I found mine. She could also just start from scratch. It's a pain, but might be worth it instead of just waiting.

I'm still Ravenesque but I got a little worried about my internet fingerprints under that name, lol. I post under that name in another unrelated forum and I don't want nosies from that forum to piece my life together and out me, lol.

Krikit, I hope so! That's gonna take some time too--they know my hubby from the first time we dated...5 years ago!

Val-Lol..That's what my husband said....Before he took the car and went off for the day...

Methinks its just a pinched nerve or something, along with the wisdom teeth growing out....

Maybe its my son bit down on me really hard with his teeth while nursing...ouch...

Or it could be "weather related arthritis" (anyone else ever get that too?..It's pain when one feels before bad weather comes...)

Or could it be something else...

But yeah, I'll monitor the situation as the day/night progresses...

Lol..There's always 911 if need be......

And I have the doctor's number handy too....

Meanwhile, am trying painkillers...maybe that would help for awhile..lol...

I don't think chest pain is a symptom of a pinched nerve. Just saying. :(
