So Anita Dunn said that communist mass murderer Mao Zedong was one of her favorite philisophers. That is definitely over the top. Why is it that Obama seems to be a magnet for these flakes? This isn't the first and only.

Wow, peejay...I always thought you were more of a critical thinker...not easily gullible to what people like Beck say...

Anita Dunn:

"The Mao quote is one I picked up from the late Republican strategist Lee Atwater from something I read in the late 1980s, so I hope I don't get my progressive friends mad at me," Dunn told CNN.

As for Beck's criticism: "The use of the phrase 'favorite political philosophers' was intended as irony, but clearly the effort fell flat -- at least with a certain Fox commentator whose sense of irony may be missing."

http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/10/16/beck.dunn/index.html

.....

Don't let your hatred for who is in the White House cloud your critical thinking.

Are you taking over from Madame Cleo in the mind reading game? Isn't "hate" a little too strong? I didn't vote for him nor do I agree with a big chunk of his agenda, but I don't hate Obama.

Anyway...whether Dunn's comments were taken out of context or not, political types get slammed for what they say whether they mean it or not. And Obama has certainly associated with some people that have come up with some over the top comments. Rev. Wright, Van Jones, etc.

Yes....libruls beware of ever using irony or sarcasm in the presence of Right Wingers, otherwise they will deliberately use it against you.

Maybe the 'real' news channels could learn from Fox news.

Maybe the Fixed News cheerleaders could try and absorb an actual piece of factual news from time to time. Such as the fact that Anita Dunn has accepted the position of Communications Director on an interim basis - see below from April 30, 2009.

The Fixed News Conspiracy nuts will claim, of course, that the NYT changed this story from April 30 after the fact. Get out of the straightjackets and take off that tin foil hat already!

Dunn to Be Interim White House Communications Chief

By Jackie Calmes

A longtime Democratic consultant, Anita Dunn, has been coaxed into joining President Obama in the White House, agreeing to be his communications director for up to several months until a permanent appointee is named, an administration adviser said Thursday.

I don't care WHY she leaves. Just leave.

Why don't you take your own advice?

She's the sort of person who talks loudly (and too much) and would likely benefit from a few open-handed slaps to the cheeks.

You are suggesting abusing women?

You are suggesting you take the boards too seriously and too literally?

He is such a baby, I can't see why anyone finds that guy in the least bit appealing. Is he really the best advert for self reliance and personal responsibility? Makes you think...

He's an entertainment figure is about all that can really be said.

If people insist on taking him seriously, that only really reflects on their general level of education.

I always thought Mussolini was sorta Marlon Brando-ish, or was it the other way around?
