Im just trying to get u to see no one sin is greater than another, If he used the lords name in vain or for evil works we cant judge him. Nor can i say what he or u or even i will answer for. U want him to be punished for what u see as evil works against u, but judge not lest u be judge. Pray for good to come his way and forgive him. I know it may be hard to wish goodwill on someone who hurts us and even harder to forgive and let it go, but if our lord and savior can do such a big thing for us, surely this isnt asking to much. Christians sin weekly, daily. It is true dedicated work not to.

But to use the lords name to commit sin is a whole different ball park. He will have to answer to his. That is not my job.

Hi all, i just wanted to ask why was it such a surprise for a christian to sin or for him to commit a sin, is there anyone here that hasnt committed a sin that cannot be forgiven and still call themselves christians. I know for a fact im a work in progress and cannot nor will i ever say that im above sinning. i cant judge anyone but i can pray for them and with them and hope they will do the same for me. I know my GOD will forgive me and help me forgive those that wrong me, so there is no way i can not forgive others and yes i consider myself a christian and this morning i had to pray for forgiveness because lord knows my teenager made me want to lose my religion. I'm not saying what he did or didnt do is ok but why hold him to a higher christian standard then you would yourself, he is human and we all we fall short of the glory. I say pray for him, pray for you and pray for your son. Now if anyone on here can say they dont sin ok im sorry i havent met you yet and keep doing you. Be blessed

Yes, speaking in a theological sense God does not have a hierarchy of sin. Murder is equal to lying is equal to coveting is equal to stealing, adultery, etc.... I don't think the original poster is here to debate theology, just share her experience and the emotional impact that is has had on her. From an emotional standpoint I can understand how realizing that someone took advantage of your trust by preying on/appealing to you via your faith in God can be a deeper hurt than just being taken taken advantage of.

From the posts Enlightened One has made, she doesn't seem judgmental. Being offended, hurt, dusgusted, etc. by someone's actions but it does not mean you're judging them. She doesn't wish ill on her hubby. Seems to me she's trying to make the best of the situation (not being resentful-she even offered him a place to stay, trying to protect her son, as well as herself emotionally and legally.).

Thanks Resees, I am working toward forgiving. I felt at peace a week ago, but some times thoughts creep in. I am actually meeting with my Pastor tomorrow from some spiritual and biblical guidance. I am sure after speaking with him it will give me the final closure I need.

I feel bad for him. He does worship, has an amazing knowledge and insight to the word. This what attracted me to him. So I feel bad that he compromised his faith for the American dream. Just know how dedicated he was to the word and to sell himself short. Just really showed he had no faith. It is part of his culture that you have to do what you need to do to survive.

I appreciate what my experience has given me. My relationship and journey with him along with other things have made my relationship that much stronger.

My story is to warn others. I already had one woman thank me, because she had all the warning, but my story helped her stop going through with it. I saved one person from heartache it was worth exposing my weaknesses.

I can't stop most... they have to go through as I did. Really at this piont it is too late, just as it was for me. Might as well get them here to find out for yourself.

That is why I tell woman to look at themselves not the SO. Where you in a bad, disfuntional, or unhealthy relationship before you met your so oversears? WEll if you answer yes and did nothing to change yourself. You have just attracted the same person into yourlife.

Elightened one , In God's grace , you will triumph. Its not easy on your own to forgive but in His sufficient grace , He will see you through. Total forgiveness will set you free and calm your heart.

Pls I recommend these books , Total forgivenness by R.T. Kendall or The Bait of Satan by John Bevere. If you have read them , just go through them again. They have always helped me in my christian journey.
