I was looking at the sample DS-156 form on VJ but Im confused about 1 question! It is question 36 on the form which asks "Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf?"

I am on the K-1 Visa...... do I answer yes or no to that? Im pretty confused what the ds-156 form is even for..... is it for a travel visa? Because I am from the British citizen and so I travel to the states under the visa waiver program. :S

The DS-156 is the application for the K1 visa in your case. Yes, you will need it.

Take a look at the example form here on VJ. Typically the answer is "no." But, if someone has petitioned for an immigrant visa for you (K1 is non-immigrant) then you would answer yes.

I guess since I'm on the k-1 Visa so the answer will be no :) Thank you very much! :)

I shall be sending all the forms out tomorrow!

There is a check list form, do I send them that too? The "applicant statement"?
