Hi Folks....

Seems like everyone is getting a biometrics letter lickety-split after submitting for N-400 application..one week later, two weeks later at the most!

We filed N-400 Oct 15 .. they received Oct 16 and not a peep since except for the NOA receipt of application (Oct 21)? The USCIS web site says "last touched Oct 23)" - three weeks and counting ....

Sent to Lewisville, TX but now in Lee's Summit-land!

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!

Everybody's N400 goes to NBC-land (aka Lee's Summit) first, also the biometrics letter will come from there, and will of course depend on your local DO's availability. Did you check other Atlanta filers to see how long it took for them to get their bio letter...

Good luck (F)

I wouldn't worry to much about it - see this week and if nothing comes in just make info pass. But I have the feeling you will get it this weeks! :innocent:

HI, we have same DO for applying N400. I hope my timeline will be a little help of your confussion. I went thru on that stage as well, and now I got answers.

Atlanta DO was a very busy one.... the last thing I regret is calling their customer service hotline, she answered me Atlanta was processing March for biometrics... but look at my timeline got my interview schedule!!

Just have more patience.. goodluck! Study my timeline.... kinda ... slow

Hi RichardS,

In your case, I think you should inquire further (through calling the mis-information line and/or an infopass appointment) about your case, after not receiving your fingerprints letter. If you don't hear from them after the 30 day mark (which it mentions about such on your NOA letter, about getting a fingerprints letter within that timeframe), then you should call them again, just in case, to confirm this as fact, as you don't want to have an appointment scheduled, and miss it, just because you didn't get the letter.

There was a case similarly on vj (from a september 2009 n-400 applicant, vj user: onuche), that they didn't get their fingerprints letter within that timeframe of 30 days from application either. They then inquired about their case with an infopass appointment and it turns out that they didn't process their case because they 'forgot about it' (or something along those lines). They then got their fingerprints done right away that day, when they inquired about such in-person.

In the meantime, you should wait another week or so, or until you reach the 30 day mark....

Who knows, maybe your particular local office is busy, and is falling behind in scheduling fingerprint dates....

But if you are past that 30 day timeline, then yes, do inquire and get your fingerprints done asap....

Hope you get your fingerprints letter soon too. And hope this helps.....

Good luck with your journey too...

Ant

My husband filed his N-400 application in February - he never received a fingerprint appointment until June.

We had call the customer service center the beginning of June to inquiry - after that we received a notice that my husband had missed a biometrics appointment recently - which we never received in the mail - so they rescheduled.

I also had contacted our Representative for our district.

Good luck to you.
