Error while filling I-130 and G-325 in. How to correct it?

Hi, if while writing in the form I make an error, to correct it is it allowed to cancel the error with an eraser?

Or, is it allowed to bar the wrong word and write the correct one next to/on top of it?

12/07/2009 - I-130 and supporting documents sent to USCIS office in Rome

12/16/2009 - USCIS office received the form

02/16/2010 - NOA1

02/22/2010 - I-130 Approved

05/27/2010 - DS-230 sent

07/19/2010 - Medical exam in Napoli

07/20/2010 - Interview

Some people say leave it...

For my mistake, I made an infopass, the officer advised sending in a letter with the correction and explaining the mistake to the service center where your application is.

Make sure you get some sort of delivery confirmation and save it.
