Marriage certificate translation - Apostille required?

Hi,

as we got married in Italy our marriage certificate is in Italian. We got it translated officially by an official translator and the translation bears the stamp and signature of the italian tribunal where the translation was made official. Is that enough or we require an official translation?

Per USCIS in Rome instructions:

Official Translation: Any supporting documentation that you provide in a language other than English must be accompanied by a complete English translation. The translation must be completed by an independent party. The party providing the translation must note that his/her work is accurate and that he /she is competent to translate. The full name of the translator, address and contact information is also required.

12/16/2009 - USCIS office received the form

02/16/2010 - NOA1

02/22/2010 - I-130 Approved

05/27/2010 - DS-230 sent

07/19/2010 - Medical exam in Napoli

07/20/2010 - Interview

ok, the embassy just confirmed me that apostille is NOT required! :) good!

12/07/2009 - I-130 and supporting documents sent to USCIS office in Rome

12/16/2009 - USCIS office received the form

02/16/2010 - NOA1

02/22/2010 - I-130 Approved

05/27/2010 - DS-230 sent

07/19/2010 - Medical exam in Napoli

07/20/2010 - Interview
