Hi people,

one question: were you able to schedule your interview when you wanted to or the embassy did everything without letting you chose? And if so, after how long did you get your appointment?

I ask because I will be away for work for two-three months and I'd like to know how flexible they are! Also, starting the process in Italy this week (sending everything out) will there be anough time to complete it all by June/July 2010?

12/07/2009 - I-130 and supporting documents sent to USCIS office in Rome

12/16/2009 - USCIS office received the form

02/16/2010 - NOA1

02/22/2010 - I-130 Approved

05/27/2010 - DS-230 sent

07/19/2010 - Medical exam in Napoli

07/20/2010 - Interview

The Embassy will shedual your interview for you and let you know when it is by sending a letter. Every Embassy is different in their processing times and for when they give interviews for specific visas. - Someone from Italy would be better to answer the timeline part.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

In about 10 days I and my wife will send the application out. Will there be enough time to get the visa by June 2010? We need to move to the US by July 20th 2010.

I would imagine that Italy is a fast moving consulate and it will probably take 2-3 months from the petition to the visa approval.

Immigration Process (DCF Japan)

08/06/2008 I-130 petition at Tokyo, Japan

08/13/2008 I-130 approved

| Waited until we were ready to move back

|

07/13/2009 IV interview at Tokyo, Japan

07/15/2009 IV(IR-1) in hand

Post-DCF

07/29/2009 POE at Las Vegas

08/17/2009 GC(10yrs) received
