How to find if the Local office has same day oath Ceremony?

Is there a way we can find out if the Local office has same day Oath Ceremony...

I checked the local office page on the USCIS website and they didnt have anything listed about the Naturalization Ceremony..

Should I call the famous infamous line or how should i find out?

Perhaps someone from the Charlotte office who has had a same day oath ceremony will respond. I googled it to see what would come up - here is the link: http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp...a7ac5834e645580 - it does appear that Charlotte has done same day ceremonies in the past. What their criteria are and if they still do them, I don't know- but you may discover that by reading some of the sites through the googled link. It looks like about only 10 - 12% of oath ceremonies for all of the offices are done on the same day from what I quickly read.

Hi Karenros,

Based on what I've read here on vj, I know that one of the factors that detmines a same day oath is: if you have an interview in the morning, they might have enough time to prepare your oath in the afternoon, and thus you can have the ceremony on the same day.

Also, you can check with other vjers with the same local office to see if they have had such an experience too.

Lol...It doesn't say anything about an oath..but at least it give you directions on how to get there....

I don't think that the mis-information line knows any better though, so probably not very helpful to contact them. (lol..they call it the mis-information line for a reason)

The best way is to probably ask them in-person during your interview, as they can give you an approximate or actual oath then..

Ant,

The link you gave is the Application service centers the place where they take the biometrics... the local office is not in the same location..

i called the infamous line today afternoon and got thru quick and the lady on the phone was so helpful.. she took her time to look into all the documentation she had to see if she could find any information,basically she said that it all depends on the local office and if i needed toknow that information i should make a infopass appt.. and i dont think its neccesary..

Does anyone know about Philadelphia? I want to know if I should take the day off to go along with my husband. I don't want to take the chance of missing his oath ceremony, but at the same time, if there's no way they'll have the ceremony that day, I don't want to miss a day's pay (I'm a sub, so I don't get paid days off, and like many, we're struggling financially). If he doesn't find out until he gets there, that's a problem - I don't have the kind of job I can just leave at a moment's notice....

I just finished my naturalization through Philly and I was told by the IO that they don't do same day oaths. But he told me that they have ceremony at least once every 2-3 weeks.
