Hello all,

I have known about this site since about September of last year, but just joined today.

I'm an American born citizen. My fiance is from Mexico. I live in San Diego, CA she

lives in Tijuana, Mexico. We met through my ex-roommate back in February of 2008.

She is an Attorney in Mexico and I am in Customer Service working for a very large

food chain here in the US. I am also very much into the IT industry and I was an

IT Manager for about 3 years in a large CD/Plasma TV manufacturing company.

I moved out of my ex-roomie's place in May of '08 and that is when we began to get closer.

By July '08 we decided that we really liked each other. So, we've been dating for about 1

year and a half now and we've decided that we want to get married.

She has a tourist's visa (I think it's a B2) and has a SENTRI pass (as do I). So we see each other VERY

often. I guess reading all of the different stories on here, I can consider myself very lucky that

even if it takes a long time for us to get paperwork done, we can see each other almost every

day and even basically live with each other. I live about 10 miles away from the San Ysidro, CA border crossing and she lives about 15 min into Tijuana from the border crossing, so in reality, we're only about 30min away from each other most of the time.

The main reason why I decided to join this site is because I'm sure that through our time line of

the way things go, we will have many questions of what is best to do for each situation.

We hope to be married by August/September of 2010. The funny thing is that we're trying to first piece together where we want our wedding to be and then we are going to worry about visas to have her be able to live/work on the American side with me.

So, as I have seen everyone here is very friendly and always willing to try to help. I will promise to do the same.

I'll see if I can get her to also sign up for this site. :P
