November 2009 K1 CSC Filers

My fiance received the NOA 2 hard copy in his mailbox yesterday. I e - mailed NVC today. Hopefully, our package is somewhere on the way to a country called Slovenia.

YAYYYY!!!!

It will take a couple days to get to NVC and then to the Embassy. Things are going to start moving fast!!!

Ivan had his medical exam yesterday and we're just waiting on Ireland for his police cert. Then we can call the embassy and schedule the interview! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

Lindsey, yours left NVC the same day you received the approval hard copy from CA. Did you also received a letter from NVC ? It' s been more than a week and I' m getting worried.

our case left NVC last week , no letter from NVC

Da, da - I received the hard copy of the NOA2 on the same day the packet left NVC. I received the letter from NVC on the same day Ivan called the embassy and they said they had it. Major delays in US Posta!

Don't worry, my friend. It's coming! Or ask your man to call NVC and they can tell you for sure.

This process surely taught me a lot. I' ll stay patient and wait for my fiance to receive the letter from NVC. Hopefully, we won' t be an exception and won' t receive their letter.

I got my NOA 2 on March 4th and have called the NVC no. all week and the pre-recorded recording still says no record of my case no? How long does it normally take NVC to get your NOA2 and have the voice recording changed etc?

Friends - I have a question and couldn't really find a good answer using the search function, so please excuse my lack of knowledge here...

Will it look "bad" if I fill out the DS-156 forms for Ivan? He doesn't have a printer and he could go to his sister's house, but it's a hassle. Anyways, I ask b/c question 40 asks if the form was prepared by anyone else, the relationship to the petitioner, and requires a signature. I wouldn't want to say I did it if that would make us look bad for whatever reason.

Also, I could be psycho, but I was also wondering since the DS-156 is completed on the online system and generates a barcode on the form, is there some way they could tell the form was generated in California (by me)?

Just having a lil freak out and want to send my docs, additional evidence for the interview, and whatever I can to help my man.

There's a line on the form, that says: has anyone filled it out on your behalf?

Just sign your name and date it. Indicate you are a fiancee. That's all

Hi dev23j,

We got approved on the 2nd of March ,and finally found out from NVC yest i.e the 10th that they had got our package.So roughly little over a week for us,but for some others it was faster,so keep calling everyday this week and the next, your's will be on its way.

And when you call,you just chose to directly speak to an operator ,and give them your receipt number mentioned in the NOA2,that's what my fiance did.
