this is a buch of lies cause my fiancee is an american and i know they dont give u a dam flag and say welcome to usa and she never got a medical exam and she has to have that and the embassy dont phone u either they send a letter dont know who you trying to fool but this american u cant fool and they dont take digital signatures either have to have the real signiture so please dont let people think it was this easy cause i know its not.

I do not know of who you the person you were replying to about, but I just read your post and I have to say you shouldnt talk about things you know nothing about, not every person has the same experience, my fiance called me TODAY to tell me the embassy actaully wants him to come down there and sign the forms and show him what he needs for the interview instead of sending a packet 3 sooo obviously it does happen that way..

Hi Lindsey...as you can see I am approved!!! :star:

Everything was great and I have to take my visa on Monday or Tuesday. First I gave my forms, my documents, David's I-134 and the proof from the bank that I paid for visa. Then they took my fingerprints and I waited for 10 min. for the interview with the consul. He asked me a lot about David, me, our relationship and he did not ask for the evidence of the relationship.

We talked about 15-20 min. He asked if I want to talk with him on Croatin or English and I said that for me is fine to talk on both languages. Then he started with Engglish and we had the whole interview on English.

At the end he said: Welcome to the US. He wished me the best and said that he hopes how I will enjoy to live in the US.

I was in the embassy around 1 hour.

Wish all the best to you and Ivan. If I can help him to prepare everything for the interview just let me know.

I am in Croatia till April 20 or 21 and we can go on kava. :jest: David should come on April 16 or 17. :star:

Congrats A and D! :dance::dance::dance:

Ever stop to think the mongolian embassy is just a little more friendly and do things a little differently than egypt. Unless you are getting your visa out of mongolia I would keep your comments to yourself before you call me a liar. I cant help it my military status got my fiance her visa before you. Serve your country reap the benefits. Obviously you are going to have a hard time at the embassy your from a middle eastern country. And yes digital signatures work read the law and two if your not from america dont tell me what my countries laws are. My post remains accurate to my experiance. Dont hate cause I am a marine and can get stuff pushed thru

I just want to point out that we are all here to help and support each other. Making judgmental comments or calling someone a liar because their experience is different than yours doesn't help, and adds discord to an already stressful journey.

One of the things I have discovered over the time I have been on VJ is that each of our journeys is unique - not just because of the different consulates involved but also because of our different circumstances. Instead of accusing someone of lying, why not ask them why their experiences seem so different than yours or those with which you are familiar? You may discover that there are circumstances of which you have no knowledge, and they can make all the difference. If the person is indeed 'stretching the truth', then how does it make any difference to your circumstances? In the end, they are only fooling themselves. Your unique situation will continue to be your unique situation, regardless of what anyone else says.

So, if you cannot find a way to question or disagree respectfully, then please do not say anything.

Edited by Kathryn41

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thamara ! I' m truly sorry to hear what is happening in your relationship. All / most relationships ( friendships and all other kinds ) aren' t easy to handle. Every relationship as every family has it' s own problems, it' s ups and downs and not one it' s perfect. I' m not here to give you advices of any kind because I can clearly see you are a smart and intelligent woman exactly knowing what you want in your life and from your man.

Adding to a " normal " relationship between a man and a woman the distance lasting sometimes months and on top of it this whole visa process ( which isn' t at simple as it seems to some ) I' m not surprised people argue and discuss. We are all human beings. We are all in love. We are all one step from our big day. This step sometimes doesn' t seem to end.

You mentioned you two are doing pretty well while you are together and issues starts ( normally ) while you are apart again ( and this is the reason why you visit one another every 6 weeks or so ) . I think you said something very smart. You wanna keep going and see where life is gonna bring you. You don' t wanna call and cancel anything. When the time for the interview comes you two are gonna put the cards on the table. Give him some space and time. Let him know you are still there. Hopefully, you two are gonna find a way. There is always a way ! (F)

Congratulations Croatia ! :) Now, your story started to be exciting for real. :) Say hello to the cats and get a one way ticket ! :)
