Yes ! :) I hope your approval comes soon too ! :)

I have a question over the RFE. How long does it usually take to get a hardcopy in the mailbox ? I' m starting to worry because it' s been 10 days already. In 10 days my post from Europe reaches USA. Gosh, we are loosing so much time over it now ! :crying:

Hvala, hvala!!! :D

I was thinking it's kind of weird you still haven't received the hard copy of the RFE. I would say your fiance should have received it already. Mail is slow here, but not that slow. Perhaps it will arrive early next week. He hasn't moved or anything, right? And there were no major delays in receiving the NOA1?

I am really hoping you guys receive the hard copy ASAP so you can get on with the process. I've seen on the timeline's that there is a pretty quick turnaround for the NOA2 once you submit the additional evidence.

@JohnAnwesha - No, we don't receive text/emails for touches. At least, I did not. I am crazy and check the website a million times a day.

We have one more full week left in Feb. Hope CSC is mega-productive!!! :star:

sorry to butt in... but I recently understood why mail seems so slow sometimes.

When USCIS or your consulate etc. says they mailed something, it often means it was sent to the mailroom, where it will be mailed in batches. So even though something was sent to be mailed on one day, the stamp on the enveloppe might show it was actually mailed 5-6 days later.

Hope this helps. I bet you'll get it in the next few days. If not, follow-up on it.

Lindsey ! :) Na zdravje ! ( Cheers ) :)

I was almost sure we are gonna get a RFE somewhere this week and send it back already ( in case of an easy fix  ) . My fiance didn' t move and we didn' t have any major delays receiving a NOA 1 hard copy. I even started to think the mail got lost somewhere on it' s way ( why us, why our RFE ??? ) as I saw others receiving their hard copy in only a few days ( 4 or 5 or 6 ) . This process ride is a crazy ride and every day counts so much to me. I' m like a dog waiting for his bone now !

Thanks, Kizza ! It surely should come somewhere early next week ! I already had 2 terrible weekends because of it !

Grats Lindsey!! Hope you get that approval notification soon, took 24 hours for them to change the status and send us the notification.

@Anwesha -> if you already opened an account on their website, there's an option to suscribe to "alerts" , you can choose if you want to receive an e-mail or text (not sure if you can do both) when the case is touched or the status updated

@mhalouzki - Thanks! According to the timeline app it took 82 days from NOA1 to NOA2 which seems to be average for CSC this month. The wait is longer / shorter for some people based on how fast or how many cases their official is handling

@AR and MD -> Kizza is right, everything goes in batches so hang in there, you should get your RFE any time now

Phase 1 done. Now Phase 2: wait for Montreal :S

We can't set a wedding date beforing we at least have a date for the interview but, ive been trying to find out if we can get married in Puerto Rico which is my native country and a US Territory. i know we can travel there for our honeymoon but in terms of getting married there finding an answer has been like finding a needle in a haystack. A glass needle in a very tall haystack. Ive found nothing online so next option is calling the USCIS. Im expecting to be on hold for a few hours :S

The email alerts don't tell you when a case has been touched, sadly. But it definitely sends an email when the status is updated (i.e. moved from "initial review" to "post decision activity". The day my petition was approved I had been checking about every hour to see if there had been a touch. There was at about 3:15 in the afternoon. At about 7:15 that night when an email was sent saying my petition was approved. A VERY HAPPY EMAIL IT WAS!

Good luck on waiting for Montreal. My fiance's packet 3 just got back to Montreal yesterday. That is interesting to think of honeymooning in Puerto Rico. I have been there once and LOVED it. It would be fun to take my fiance there once he is my husband :)

Congratulations to Lindsey and Lover89 !!! :)

Quick update : We finally received a long awaited letter from Uscis, the RFE. We found out it' s ( Thanks Gosh ! :P ) an easy fix. Hopefully, my fiance can send it back ASAP ( my letter with some additional proves from Europe still didn' t reach his mailbox ) and we can cross fingers and toes to get approved by the end of the month or early ( but very early ! Yes, it' s an order ! :P ) in March !
