We got RFE almost at the same time like you - around 3 months after NOA1. My fiance sent the reply the same day he got mail from USCIS and 17 days later they approved us.

But, as I already told you, there si no rule.

Yes, A and D ! I see you were dealing with a RFE too ( with Vermont ) I' m still in shock ! :crying:

Now, how long can a RFE delay the whole thing ? How long does it take for USCIS to send a RFE and how long it takes for them to receive it ? How long it normally takes for USCIS receiving a RFE until the final approval ?

Hey A and D.....looks like im going to get an RFE too....since i got touched 2 times :crying:

Thamara ! I know and understand your point perfectly. It doesn' t make any sense they waited for more than a week to issue a RFE. They should have issued a RFE last week when our case was touched twice. :crying:

Reassuming ! Once we get a hardcopy of a RFE we send back to USCIS what is missed ( ASAP :P ) When USCIS receives our RFE they are gonna get back to our case ( without waiting 3 more months ??? :crying: ) and make a decision or issue another RFE ( ??? :crying: ) ?

I never did anything more stressful in my whole life ! :P

Take it easy...it happened and you have to deal with it. It will pass sooner or later. :star:

This is a stresfull proces and it is better to have positive attitude if you want to stay alive till the end. :)

In case people are curious about the speed at NVC, it seems to be pretty fast at the moment. Our petition arrived at the embassy 13 days after the NOA2 date.

We just returned our packet 3 to the embassy in Port of Spain today, so crossing fingers for speedy processing and receipt of packet 4. This weekend is Carnival in Trinidad, and the entire country shuts down for about a week.

Good luck to everyone still awaiting the NOA2. Waiting is the hardest part of the process, no matter which step of the way you're on!

A journey begins...

That's pretty amazing! Congratulations on getting through the process so quickly. If I remember correctly, you were able to get your case expedited because of the USC's military involvement?

That is correct. The congressmans office followed this case every step of the way. It never hurts to ask cause all they could do is say no and they didnt so it worked out well.
