Well comrades we are almost there! Next, the evil oil companies must be nationalized, then the media (oh, that's already happened).....

Welcome to Venezuela....

What exactly has been nationalized with yesterday's passage of the health care reform measure?

People like that eejit entitlements_yay need a good slap of reality right in the face! We have what those types of cavemen would call "socialized" medicine back home and you know what I'd take that over the $hite they have in America any day. America has actually taken a small step towards what many in Europe have had for a very long time. I agree more regulation is needed if we had responsible regulation then the banks wouldn't have gotten so greedy they almost ate themselves to death, Made in China Mart.. I mean Wal-Mart wouldn't be taking over everything and we'd all have more choices when we wanted to get cable TV, a cell phone/land line, internet service, insurance heath and property? the list goes on.. yes the oil companies too should be regulated left unregulated we can expect for a fact the price of fuel to go up again and their profits will increase as well.

If you knew anything, you'd know that the government profits are a higher percentage than the oil companies. Oil company profits at the pump are about 10 - 12 cents per gallon, whereas government windfall profits are 50 cents per gallon.

Since my Intrade contract is getting closer and closer to 0, I'm guessing there's no public option?

Is a public option that won't be available to most of the public - as the one the House just passed - really a public option?

What does it mean? Some states can opt out?

Nope, it means that those that employer sponsored coverage won't have access to the public option. That's about 4 out of 5 Americans.

So why were Nancy's dentures on display for all to see on Saturday night?

Nada - "the bill" won't be anything like it is now; IF it gets passed. Lieberman reiterated he would filibuster yesterday.
