EAD extension

I have a couple of questions regarding filing for an extension for my wife's EAD. Is it true that we'll have to pay another filing fee? At the same time, we're currently waiting for our interview appointment for her green card(she's already had the biometrics appointment).

So I guess the question is, would it make more sense to wait for the interview and subsequent issuance of her green card, instead of paying yet another fee for the EAD extension, which may or may not be approved before said interview? Perhaps this is just a judgement call. It strikes me as bizarre that they can charge again for the same document, but I didn't read anything in the form instructions that would indicate that the fee is waived for general renewals.

Yes you have to pay the fees again.... if your wife is not working and does not plan to work until after the Greencard has been issued then there is no benefit in filing for a new EAD...

If she is working then yes you will need to refile...

Please update your timeline. A little more information would be nice.
