Use your best guess. :star:

You cant use your best guss with the immigration.

then find out the dates you did work.

You cant use your best guss with the immigration.

Why not?

What else can you do? Presumably you don't have the information recorded on a resume/CV, don't have any previous pay stubs or tax returns to refer to - you may not be able to call (for what ever reason) to find out. So whats left is "I kind of think it was "May to June" (or what ever).. Its what I would do if I didn't have any the things I mentioned. Just my opinion of course.

You are on the right track. You should NEVER conceal or lie to immigration about ANYTHING. But even immigration knows you are a human being and can't remember everything and that it is not always possible to find out everything.

So, try very hard to figure out when you worked. Like 'Otto und Karin' said, look at your past tax returns, resume...

Look for old pay stubs, bank statements, call the employer and ask them to look it up, try to think of what holidays it was around, the time of year, and what was going on in your life when you worked there. These are just some ideas.

Once you get as close to the dates as you possibly can, right them down on the application. Then, I'd attach a note that refers to the question and EXPLAIN that the dates are approximate to the best of your knowledge. If you are still frightened you're going to get called out on them, voluntarily bring it up during your interview and explain to them again that they are approximate dates.

The above is not legal advice.

It is either from research or merely my opinion.

Hi Meod,

In answer to your question; As for the employment dates, if you don't have the exact dates, just give an approximation, to the best of your ability. For example, employed from Janurary 2006- December 2007, and June 2008 - December 2008, or Winter of 2007 and Summber of 2008 (or something along those lines, whatever your real-life example is). As well, if you are submitting tax returns, perhaps you can check your employment records based on that too? Just remember as much as you can about your employment dates, and tell the truth when asked about such.

The bottom line: Disclose when need to. Tell the truth when asked about such. Don't lie. And you should be ok there...

Hope this helps too. Good luck on the rest of your immigration journey.
