envelope size

I seem to be having a problem getting the right envelope size 12 by 15. I checked with the post office,and shoppers and all they have is xpresspost letter 318 by 241 .They said thats the standard for canada.Any help would be appreciated.

Yup. I also noticed it's ok to fold it so it's not so cumbersome. It's larger than the letter-sized manila envelope (presumably because that will be included so it needs to fit a whack of documents). Darkchilde794 and I went together when I bought mine. The gift store in our local mall had the right size.

Yea its fine to fold it, at the interview they fold it anyway and put it inside the big file they have with all your stuff. I got my envelope at a post office in the mall near my old house as well, the regular post office didnt carry the size i needed.

I am currently in montreal and have only been able to find size 390 by 295.I haven,y got a clue where to look,so hoping someone has purchased one here that can let me know the location and name of place.Thanks in advance

Yes its regional mailer with signature required.

This is a bit confusing. Only because technically they're mailing it out of province, so shouldn't it be the national mailer? lol Or, by 'national' do they mean 'international'?

We also have to pick up the little slip that goes with it then, that we fill out with the address and what not? Do we fill out ANY of it, or just give it to the consulate to handle?

They consider regional Ontario and Quebec, not separate by province.

You fill out your address in the to line and then they'll fill out the from line.

If you can't find it at one post office, look in another. It's the largest prepaid envelope they carry, I believe. We found it at the first one we looked at, in a Pharmaprix.

There are a few post offices in Montreal open on Sunday, but just be sure to get the envelope before they close.

on the Embassy info page it says to take a "314mm x 394mm" or "30.5cm x 39.4cm" Xpresspost envelope

this was the largest they carry, its 12x15 when i measure it but in mm its only 390x295... the wierd thing is on the Canada Post website I dont find that chart, I do see the sizes as

Small - 15.2cm x 25.4cm (152mm x 254mm)

Med - 24.1cm x 31.8cm ( 241mm x 318mm)

Large - 25.4cm x 40.6cm (254mm x 406mm)

which isnt even my size! Lol. I'm so confused!! I guess I'll look at a few other places to see if I can actually find the right one.
