Embassy DID NOT receive our packet 3..DElhi

Good Morning my fellow VJers

Here is my story on this matter, I am currently staying with my fiance Mani during our waiting for our interview so i can accompany him with him at the interview, we have completed our pcc through the passport office and in a week we will have the hard copies of the pcc from the local and districkt police station.

We mailed our packet 3 on October 20th. evey few days we would email the embassy to see if they had received it, last night November 6th we received an email from the Delhi embassy stating they had never received our packet 3.

So my smart finace said ok we will go to Delhi on Monday and drop off our packet 3 in person. ITs about a 7 hour from from where we live.

I was just wondering what you all think of this decision, by not waiting to mail it out again and then i know a few other ppl received there packet 4 with interview date by hand from the embassy the same day they turned in the packet 3. It this right? will we get out packet 4 on the same day?

Hey Tasha,

You can email them the packet too, the only two papers you have to email are DS-230 Part 1 and Applicant Letter. email at IVND@state.gov. My fiance and I did that b/c there was a very long delay in our packet 3 and we called embassy and they said to email it.

The DS-230 we filled it out online and printed it and my fiance signed it and then scanned it and sent it VIA email. and we in fact got response back later that same day saying we should receive our packet 4 in about 3-4weeks.

Thanks so much for the response. we also don't want to have a longer delay in our case it is valid until January 9. so we r hoping that maybe we can possibly, hopefully get a December interiview date if they have some hehhe.

Congrats on the visa Karen and i talked this morning and she said you are just waiting for your passport with visa in it.

What are you plans now, is he moving right away or waiting a week or 2?

THat is so wonderful that you can spend Thanksgiving together in US, Do you have any time off of work for when Karan comes? looks like im spending another Thanksgiving in India, I really hope we can spend Xmas in US mani realllllly wants that, we will also come with in a few days after getting visa.

ok that sounds good that you sent yours in on sep 3 and still got the October interview that gives me some hope, we already have our cab and driver booked, hes picking mani and i up at 430 Monday morning! At least we also get to see where the embassy is and then on the day of our interview we wont feel so unbelievable uncomfortable with the surroundings since we both will have been dere.

I do have sometime off since I have been working crazy hours right now..My co-workers are nice enough to trade with me so I can spend some precious time with my love

Your Mani 'will' get to spend X-mas here with you, Tasha and since you live where you live, he'll even hopefully get to see a white Christmas as well. Then it would be perfect!!
