My fiancee had her and her son's medical at IOM today. Here is how it went:

Got up early. Drove to the PAY STATION to pay for the medical exam for her and her son. Once she made the payment, she was provided with the forms and the location of where the actual medical exam would take place. She was NOT given the location to take the exam until AFTER she paid for it. They accept either US dollars or Rubels.

She then traveled to the location for the exam. There was a queue, as she states it, and the wait was about 1 hr. Once inside the rooms, she was greeted by a female doctor. The doctor was very pleasant and explained the entire process to her. They drew blood, did chest xrays and general exam. This drawing of blood and xrays was only for her. Her son is only 3 so he only had a general exam. She was allowed to wait for the results and the doctor discussed the results with her and then put the results in the envelopes, which my fiancee was present for. The doctor then proceeded to discuss with her what the process would be once she was at the interview, and then also at POE. She was handed the SEALED envelopes and sent on her way.

Overall the experience was pleasant, other than it took about 5-6 hours to complete the entire process. So she was exhausted at the end.

Things to make sure you provide them at the exam:

2 photos of her, 2 photos of son

Internal and External passports

Receipt showing payment for exam

She had to KNOW which visa she was applying for, in our case, K1, and the case number

Any shot records for her and her son

Hope this helps others.
