Post decision activity

Sorry if this post is long and rambling.. im very nervous and excited!

My I-129F was accepted by the California office on May 25th. I set up my account on the USCIS website and checked it regularly.

Absolutely nothing happened to it until after it passed the 5 month processing time, at which point i called the office and opened an incident. 3 days later i received an email. It jumped to the "Post Decision Activity"

Im my initial packet i did not include the I-134. Though i included many income and employment records through my recent divorce decree, i can't imagine they would forgo a form.. will i be asked for it later?

I realize that my case was sent to the NVC in NH, then it goes to the Romanian consulate.

**My question... What should i and my fiance expect going forward? Will they rubber stamp the visa application at the consulate? Will I be requested for more forms?

She has a copy of the packet and all correspondence (care package customs receipts, western union receipts and phone records) since then.. will she need that? And is there anything else that i should be aware of?

Again, sorry for the ramblings.

:guides: and K-1 visa flowchart - they tell what happens at each stage of the process. Now, on to your specific issues...

"Post-Decision Activity" generally means that your petition was approved (Decision), then forwarded to NVC (Post-Decision).

I-134 is not required in the I-129F submission. It is required at the interview, and your particular embassy/consulate may require it in advance. When you get the instructions (Packet 3), read them carefully and follow the procedures outlined there.

The visa application is not "rubber-stamped" at the consulate by any means. All the documentation they require (birth certificate, police certificate, medical exam, I-134 and supporting evidence, etc.) is reviewed there by a consular officer who makes the decision whether or not to issue the visa. At the interview, your fiancee's visa will be either approved, denied, or placed in Administrative Review if any required element is incomplete or missing—documents, background checks, etc.

Once again, read the guides and flowchart, and start browsing the US Embassy and Consulate Discussion forum and regional sub-forum for Romania for information on what will be required in the upcoming stages.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

You would not send an I-134 with your initial petition - that is something that must be provided to the Embassy/Consulate at the time of the interview. So you've got that to look forward to still.

I realize that my case was sent to the NVC in NH, then it goes to the Romanian consulate.

**My question...

What should i and my fiance expect going forward?

It sounds like Step 6 (K-1 Flowchart) this flowchart will help give you an overview of what happens and when it should happen.

Will they rubber stamp the visa application at the consulate?

No.

Will I be requested for more forms?

One from you (the US Citizen) and some from the foreign fiance/benificiary. See K-1 Step By Step Guide for details.

She has a copy of the packet and all correspondence (care package customs receipts, western union receipts and phone records) since then.. will she need that?

Would come in handy.

And is there anything else that i should be aware of?

I'd start by refreshing yourself on the two links provided above (to start) - get you on the right path.

Again, sorry for the ramblings.

Well it was a good ramble, as far as rambles go I suppose - good in the sense that it reveals the fact that you've got to brush up on the process (easy enough to do).
