Hal ~ Rational thought is not a right, it's a privilege and not all have this ability, however unfortunate that may be for us.

Yeah I really don't waste my time with dogs that chase their own tails. All I have to say on that topic. Now as for the weekend... I do certainly plan on enjoying the warmer than usual weather tonight on the town.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

The issue of illegals being included in the plan is a distraction. Is it so hard to see that the government's health plan is not about health, but about more control and power over our lives for the government? It doesn't matter who pays for it or how much is paid, especially since they plan to punish those who refuse to enroll after the option to have private health insurance is legislated out of existance.

True. It is more of a political and ideological statement from the usual suspects. Fiscally it doesn't amount to a hill of beans, but that is no reason to ignore these lame attempts to legitimize the illegitimate.

I have mixed feelings. Anybody that wants to should be able to buy insurance. I would rather unlawful permanent reseidents have insurance, rather than show up at the ER to take care of their healthcare needs.

That's a good point. If you let them buy insurance on their own, then we all will be less likely to get stuck with the ER bills they leave behind today.

I doubt the illegal factor will alter the latino vote. There are enough legal latinos needing health care for them to vote for health care. Not to vote, because of any illegal factors would be simply and plainly very very stupid.

But, given all that, they are welcome to vote against it. Whatever!
