Question - since he's got the visa to the US, my fiance shouldn't have any problems with stops in Dubai or Europe, right? He wouldn't be leaving the airport so i'm figuring being in transit would waive any need for additional visas.

Omid, UK does not require a transit visa if you have a valid US visa. Almost all the other European countries require a transit visa even if you have a US visa ( Green Card holders are exempt). You will be better off buying a ticket through London Heathrow or Gatwick.

Hafiz keep the CR1 rolling now. Once the CR1 gets to the embassy if you have not interviewed for the K3 the K3 is cancelled and you will get the interivew for the CR1. This is what happened in our case since both of our files went to the embassy within one week of each other.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Hafiz Mian (For my non Urdu Friends Mian is not always mean husband here Mian means someone younger than addressor)

Trying to bring his spouse ASAP (like everyone in our thread wants) to United States and he got a valid point if you guys take a look right now United States Embassy in Islamabad currently scheduling CR1 interviews for January and important thing here is it would be 30 or more days when Hafiz’s CR1 will complete @ NVC and then transfer to embassy add one more month for package 3.5 send/receive process (i.e. embassy sends pkg 3.5 >> beneficiary receives >> beneficiary returns >> embassy receives).

So projected date of CR1 interview according to this analysis would be March, which means another 9 months separation. As all of us agreed (at least on one point) immediate reunion CR1 seems to me very hard.

On other hands K3 once approved will fly like a rocket to embassy and we know that it is always a fast interview appointment as compare to CR1 however in order to make this theory successful my man needs to think a bit and put a little hold on CR1 (for few days) until K3 approve and transfer it to embassy.

Anyway this is up to him what he wants. My prayers with everyone.

Man is a wonderful creature; he sees through the layers of fat (eyes), hears through a bone (ears) and speaks through a lump of flesh (tongue).

Small items in the whole process, but my check was cashed today... so I now have a receipt number. Which means I can now get neurotic about checking my case to see if it has been "touched".

Ali called last night late too. All is well in the land of snows and crazy climbers. He's off, headed up the mountain. Won't summit yet - setting high camps, then back down to rest. Hope to hear from him next week... Inshalla.

It's a good day for me today!!

Hope everyone else is having a decent day...

I would say go for it.. the rate will get higher.

the closer to travel day the more $$$$$$$$$$$$ you will pay

vs future date bookings.

you are correct. but, you should understand that once the CR1 fees have been paid. this willl set the motion for the K-3 to be cancelled. the embassy and NVC already communicated that the CR1 is comming. hafiz at this point would be lucky if suddenly he got k-3 interview.

well lol thats a good sign that they are communicating. I am going to hold that ds230 until k3 clears nvc. Anyhow, my wife wont have her passport until end of august, so i got another month to send that ds230. so much for shortcuts. (Son of a ######, i am so pissed).

and i think i am going to get an rfe on the i864 cause i used the Ez version and i had 1099 and w2 last year. But this year i only have w2

i only sent one month of paystubs, employment letter from one employer.
