You aren't seriously going to hold a group of people living today responsible for the acts of people who've been dead for centuries, are you? Do you hold the Native Americans alive today responsible for the murders of other tribe members done by their forefathers a couple of centuries ago? At least in that situation, we know the Native Americans today are direct descendants. I would think if you believe in evolution that you might recognize that a belief system might evolve and that you have to judge a people by their acts today, not by acts of random people in history.
