Finally an interview date

Hello VJers,

I finally have an interview date. Im so happy beyond relief.I called the Department of State and they told me that my fiancee's interview is on December 30,2009, one day before New Years Eve. Nigeria consulate is rolling with the visa approvals. I hope we will continue to here good news.But my main concern is that I havent received anything from the Lagos consulate stating my fiancee's interview date. I have been emailing them and the only response was for me to email my inquires to lagosIV@state.gov. What should I do?

Go ahead and send them an email. They are a little slow at responding, but I would email the everyday until i get a response from them. God Bless and good luck.

Have him go to the embassy site and download all the forms . He should be able to start filling everything out. Medical is the big thing but you have a bit of time ( don't forget the holidays that will happen both Muslim and US )

Congratulations, you are one step closer! Yes email them, you may want to put your case number in the subject line also. I agree, get those medicals done, takes a couple weeks from start to finish.

Thanks guys for all your help. I just received an email from the Lagos consulate this morning with the interview time and date of December 30,2009 at 7:00am with packet instructions.Whats so funny is that what they sent me I already sent to my fiancee approx. a week ago from today.But I figure that he needs the email letter as his confirmation.Thank you guys for all your help
