today i came to know that for F4 category INDIA the ds-3032 has been issued for priority date 30th decembe,1999 and one friend of mine is having a priority date earlier than that...i.e, before 30th december...then what is holding the NVC back from sending the papers to him??why is it that he hasnt heard anything from the nvc yet even though theoretically its only 6months left for his petition to become current??

does anybody have a clue of whats going on at the NVC?and

if the beneficiary sends his email address to NVC does it help in anyways???does the nvc communicate to the beneficiary via his/her email address??

please do reply thanks

Hi,

I'm not so sure about your problem, but, i'm in the same waiting list for an F 4 visa for Europe, so I can try to reply with little info's for you.

As i checked now the Visa Bulletin site, for november, for India, they process same time like EU, so they process for JUNE 1999, not december like you said. Tommorow, usually on 10th of the month they update processing time for the incoming month,, so for December. (http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4576.html).

Maybe that's why they didn't sent email to him, and yes, the beficiary is informed about all process, when time comes, from NVC.

Also beneficiary can update his/her email adress, or any changes in his adress or so, also he can request status of his petition, sending email to NVC with all his data, i.e.

- number of the case

- Name and date of birth of petitioner

- Name and date of birth of beneficiary

- Name of the person who sends the email

at least that is the way i communicate with them and that is what they asked me to put in the request.

Good luck,

Laur

hey laur thanks for the reply but i hope u r familiar with the procedure...its not after the priority date becomes current that you start receiving bhe document but its somewhere befor the priority date is about to get current that a beneficiary and petitoner starts receiving the documents from the nvc....nonetheless...i will have to wait...

and d visa bulletin for december says F4 for europe and india is 8th September,1999

so i think they might send the papers anytime soon now...

No problem,

I hope I'm familiar as long as I have the same visa petition :innocent:, my priority date is Oct 2000, so at the actual speed that they process visa application, in about 4 to 6 months my case willl be curent too. In the last visa bulletin they show that they processed 3 waiting months for 1 , before they had 2 for 1, so they speed up things!!! Hope that from now on, in any day it's possible to receive the letter from NVC...

Good luck,

Laur

---don't forget to update your email or adress to NVC, if necesarry !!!
