i haven't exactly told him it is off limits but I keep my eyes open when he comes near lol... I also turn it off when i'm done coz he won't wait for it to load..he'd rather just go the home pc coz it is always on and ready. hehehe .. so no, i haven't been mean about it, i promise :) :) :)

I could be nice about and he would still tell me to hit my head on the wall, thats just the way he is.

ok so..new laptop..almost returned it.. it kept shutting off and beeping and wouldn't start..etc etc...seriously frustratiing....i spent 2 days trying to get it fixed..calling the computer company .. they made ti worse... finally, when noor was trying to use it and it did it to him..HE called the company and YELLED OH SO LOUDLY at the guy... (guy was from india by the way...really nice guy..i liked him) anyway..guy had us on the phone for more than an hour but finally said..ok, 1 last option...take off the back cover..remove the ram....re-insert the ram...close cover...turn on and pray.......... IT WORKED

What relevance does this have to visa journey you may ask??? well.. after they got all done (and my computer runs like a dream) he said to me....ok, now I feel American.. LOL He really enjoyed getting his point accross and talking to the guy and when it all worked..he was so proud! :) I just wanted to share that with you all :)

I didn't want to say anything but I had a compaq and it was a piece of trash. It was huge and bulky and loud and the keyboard sucked it hurt my fingers so bad. Then it kept overheating and just turning it off. I had to set it on a pile of books so air could circulate under it. So I sent it in and they fixed it and 4 months later it had the same problem again, this time they wanted minimum of 300 to fix it- no way! Finally I got a new Dell and it's heaven, phew!

If anyone likes foreign movies. Here's a good French movie to see on DVD.

"He loves me, He loves me not"

We just watched it this morning good movie!

Thanks! I'll add it to the list we're going to order whenever I finish my stupid homework. I hate homework! :crying:

How's vacation? Did you get lost? :P

Jackie

YEP we sure did! We made it to Oklahoma ok but got lost in Fort worth Texas. NOT MY FAULT, MIGHT I ADD. Then we made a wrong turn in Dallas! Nothing like downtown Dallas at 2am! Finally stumbled upon a childrens hospital and located a security guard. He told us how to get outta there alhamdulillah. Then we get to Houston and let me tell you what!!! The road system here sucks! big time!!! He finally called his friend and he took us on some side roads. After about 10 minutes of hearing them say one of the street names over and over again, I said...we passed that road..were we supposed to turn there? YEP so get turned around and on the right track. We finally reached our destination at around 5:30am. It has been less than comfortable since arriving. My son is picky about the food he eats..(goes back to when he was so sick) they serve an entire meal of arabian food. Fine for me and Noor but traven was so upset. He was hungry and all of the food was so strange to him. Quite honestly, I didn't like it much either but I choked down as much as I could, smiled, and prayed they didn't force me to eat more... The boys left around 11am and left me with the wife...her smaller kids don't speak english so lil'man had nobody to play with and was bored stiff. She took us to a neighbors house and I got to listen to them talk in arabic for about an hour. FUN FUN.... i was so bored and lil'man was begging me to go home. We went to get the kids from school and they have one the same age as my son so that was cool. She speaks great english so he finally started to have a good time. What is it with arabians and feeding their guests? I swear if I was forced to eat any more food, I was going to puke. I had to tell her at one point, please , I don't want to be rude but I feel I will blow up if I eat one more thing. She said..oh, but you didn't eat..just hamburgers, chicken, and pancakes..nothing. Luckily it was dropped after that and Noor told them that I am not used to eating all the time like that and to let me be. It got better around bedtime when everything was quiet and we could just lay down and talk about everything. I really hope that today is a better day enshallah.

Hope your vacation gets better! I remember my son not liking arabian food and still doesn't also remember sitting there and everyone was talking arabic and remembered what fun that was. The first time I was like cool they are talking arabic and I am in a foreign country. Second time I was like ok this is really fun to be sitting here not knowing what they were saying. hahahaha

So I am on my way to buying a house signed some papers today and my husband will go after work to sign his name so he can be the loan too. It's a 4 bedroom, 2 baths, eat in kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, laundry room, enclosed porch, and a 1 car garage. Has a huge back yard. Ready to be moved into with no fixing up. We are closing in the middle of december! So that's my good news!!

I felt really lucky around Abdel's family. They always tried to find something to keep me happy while they talked, like when they brought two baby chicks for me to play with. It's strange how you can communicate so much without words. The smiles on their faces meant a lot to me.

That house sounds like a house to raise a family in - a big family. You planning on having a bunch of kids Angel? That's awesome news though, congratulations.
