can't wait to see your results!!!

RE: the pans you didn't get back??? If you buy more pans and want to send more kanafeh to the relatives (and don't want to lose said pans), maybe you can look for the aluminum foil pans in the grocery store and transfer the goodies before delivery??? Then you won't worry so much about losing the pans. LOL, of course, I like to re-use the aluminum foil pans too!!!

Sure, hindsights 20/20.....

In a hundred years I wouldn't think some men would take my pans and keep them. Its okay though because I don't think I would send over more knaffa now if it was wrapped in newspaper. I'm having a nice lazy sunday so I'm not going to think about them anymore today. :star:

I have never heard of that Dawn. There is actually something more culturally wrong with someone not returning your stuff.

every time i travel, i use ziplocks for the soap, the cologne, the toothpaste, etc. just in case one of them breaks in transit, i won't have a huge mess inside the suitcase.

LOL, now the airlines are saying to put those carryon items in a ziploc bag

"Passengers traveling within the United States* may bring through the security checkpoint travel-size toiletries (3-ounce container or smaller) that fit in one, quart-size, clear plastic, zip-top bag (see an example at right). The bag must be completely closed/sealed and must be submitted for inspection separately from other carry-on baggage. "

I am flying to BR tomorrow so I was checking up on what i can carry on-board.

Dawn, They should be even more appreciative and return the pans filled with food or a gift for you. That would be the true Jordanian spirit!

Charles, you remind me of a guy I've known since he got back from Dessert Storm (used to go to church with him and now I work with him.) He carried everything in a ziploc for quite a few years after coming back from there. He's a neat freak anyway, so I'm sure the sand over there drove him nuts, and he was a helicopter pilot, so that probably stirred the dust up even more. He even carried his Bible to church in a ziploc! I was surprised when I realized he had finally stopped doing that because I honestly thought he would do it the rest of his life.
