I did realize that I was prejudiced, I stereotype and I generalize against others.

If a stereotype is wrong, then lets stop using it. However, how can anyone expect me to ignore the reality. Ignore that while Hispanics make up 12% of the US population, they also account for almost the majority of the FBI's most wanted list in my sig.

Yes indeedy, so by that rationale its clear that we should treat 100% like the 12%. That's brilliant is what that is

Good luck with HR if you end up fleshing out any of your responses for them. I expect you'll be back selling trinkets at the airport while sneering at the customers.

Assuming all hispanics fit the description of a wanted criminal is about as logical as someone assuming that because Australia was founded as a penal colony that all Aussies are predisposed to be criminals themselves.

I never made that assumption did I. Nonetheless, maybe you can explain why almost 90% of the FBI's most wanted are Hispanics? Or explain why close to 50% of those in gangs are Hispanic.

The only rebuttal you have to this is 'well not all Hispanics are gang bangers'. No sh-t, but it does not address the reality that 12% of the population makes up 50% of gangs members.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Erm yes you did. This is what you said:

You seem to be saying fairly unambiguously here that if a stereotype is "wrong" that we should stop using it, but that because hispanics make up the majority of the FBIs most wanted list, that the stereotype is apt and should presumably be used with abandon.

Furthermore you state outright that you are prejudiced and that you freely use stereotypes. Yet somehow you object to being labelled a racist. Go figure.

personal insults are a violation of TOS and have been removed.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

BY would probably get on very well with Ted Kefalinos, the misunderstood genius behind the "Drunken Negro Head Cookie"

drunken-negro-head-cookie.jpg

"I called them Drunken Negro Heads. What's the problem with that?"

"not unflattering. I think it's a fun face... And anyone who says anything else should be ashamed of themselves."

Also, Kefalinos insists he can't be racist because, for one thing,

"my brother-in-law, he's Cuban."

When asked whether he understands that most African-Americans find the word "negro" offensive, Kefalinos explains,

"It's a French word. It comes from the French."

Strangely enough Kefalinos also failed "Sensitivity Training". Go Figure:

State Senator Thomas Duane pressured Kefalinos to take a racial sensitivity training session. But Duane says, "He really needs to undergo much more sensitivity training because I'm not sure that he's completely got the message yet. If he doesn't... the marketplace will put him out of business."

Would it be fair to say that all Australian's are narrow minded and ignorant? From my observations here, it would appear to be so. But is it fair to the other 19,999,999? Hardly.

We should poll Australian sheep.

Or all of the Australian women that have been banging the British hikers.

You're off. 15.4% of the U.S. population is Hispanic and that's probably an undercount. Wait til the 2010 Census. I wonder the count would have turned out if ACORN had still had a hand in it?
