Darlene the #3pic you have posted YUM YUM!!!!! :D:D ....i am taking it your man is from Ochi?? where in Ochi??

That was just one of the goodies we had every night in our cabin. We never knew what we would come back to. The pastry chef took very good care of us. That was my first cruise.

Ocho Rios is on the North coast. He is actually from Lewis district St Ann which is about 10 minutes from Ochi.

Love Ocho Rios. Probably because that is the first place I went to and I am very comfortable going there even on my own. :):) Negril is nice but kind of lost there especially not knowing anyone. :o

WE ARE DONE!!!

Good morning Everyone....Hope you all had a nice weekend.....I worked the entire weekend, cleaned house, and did massive laundry....reallfun weekend for me.....:whistle:

Belly...here is my 2 cents based on my recent experience.......I think you may be expecting just a little too much.......remember...we are dealing with Jamaican men......they are used to being taken care of to some extent so if you force tooo much on them.....they feel like "we" American women are too bossy or controlling...(at least this is what my husband has told me...not sure about everyone else....)

Also......I am not sure about your man but A LOT (NOT All) of Jamaican men have trouble with reading and writing so I can understand why the the DS230 may have been ultra confusing to him...hell.....I am college eduacted and it was ultra confusing to me. That is why most of us completed it for our fiances and sent it to them.

Now.... about the date he has selected to drop off the DS230 at the embassy...well...I think he is making complete sense. It is far better to complete everyone at once while he is in Kingston rather than going back and forth. I am not sure how far he lives but my husband is from the Ochi area and it took about 2 hours. Plus...the roads are kinda dangerous!!!!! The trip is also pretty expensive especially if he is paying for it himself and not asking you for any money. I would rather have him wait until the passport arrives so that he can "order" the police clearance and drop off the DS 230 all at the same time. Heck, he is going to have to go back and pick up the clearance and possibly packet 4 before his medical exam..........We had to pick up packet 4 because it NEVER arrived in the mail....

Trust me...I wanted EVERYTHING done yesterday and I got pissed when I felt he was not rushing with the same urgency as me but in the end everything worked out great and we are now enjoying our life together.......the "being patient" thing is hard but it is just a small insight into how he will be when he arrives in America. Remember...we move a lot faster in America (I am not sure that is better but it is true) and Jamaicans have a more laid-back approach to things. This will not change over night and my husband still has that appraoch to life even now!!! It is hard but it is a culture thing and you need to just relax and not be so hard on him...you might start scaring him.....

Good luck and remember...patience is a virtue!!! (F)

Good morning ladies,

To give my .02 cents, recently I have been having the same problem and all I can say is PATIENCE. Nanny said it just right  Further more I dothink you have it right things are now up to him, the faster he moves the faster things get done.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa

Okay.....my two cents worth......No, I don't think you are being unreasonable....BUT....you need to try to not sweat the "small stuff." Right now, the MOST IMPORTANT thing is his Passport. If he doesn't get that NOTHING else here matters.

I agree, don't sweat the small stuff. He can kill two birds with one stone let him. Two trips is just too much, I think. Trust him, if he states that he needs some help, then help him. The forms are confusing, It has nothing to do with being a "man" I also sent David the filled out forms. This process is fustrating enough. don't hate me for the next comment.... but watch how you speak too your man when you are angry or fustrated. Insulting his manhood during a time like this is not good, anytime for that matter. You can never take words like that back, no matter how many times you say sorry. I know you are fustrated (spelling). But let him be a man and make the decision to do it when it's best for him. Have faith an support your man (F)

Hello happy Monday. :star:
