Question how many of you ladies have dual citzenship? I know u can get dual citzenship after your husband has lived here 6 months.

I didn't know you could get dual citizenship JA/US?? Tony wants to do that eventually but I thought there was a thread on here a while back that said JA didn't allow dual citizenship? What would be the benefits for you (as the US citizen) to have dual??

Every winter, when it's freezing and snowing and the winter seems to last for 5 months, I decide that I can't stand living in New England anymore. That's when I consider relocating to warmer climes. Then I see the crocous' and daffodils popping out from the soil and I forget all about it B) .

Same here  I go through that EVERY winter here. I really considered moving to Florida awhile back, but I'm not too sure. I'm really close w/ my parents and my sister and I would miss them so much :( Hopefully we will have a mild, short winter this year :innocent:

He's seeing that life here in the States isn't as easy as he thought it would be.

I think this is one of the most difficult realizations of all! For some reason many people in JA think you just come to the U.S. and automatically start making loads of money  It doesn't work that way  But what still kills me is that all his family and friends think he's rich or something and we constantly have to send them money and bring them lots of gifts  It's like he won't admit to them that he's not rich (or even close) and he can barely help pay the bills. It's very frustrating.

:lol: yes we will see what happens in December :P We tried in August but not peak what they call that ovulation time :hehe: You never know... Maybe ready or not who knows. its not u and his sis says she will kill us  ah thats what :luv: does

Ok, I may be overstepping here, but why would you want to get pregnant before your man even gets here? I would not want to be alone through a pregnancy. The stress of Immigration and all that is enough to deal with in itself. Tony has been here about 2 years now, and we're still trying to decide if we're "ready". Everyone is different I guess.

Good mornign everyone,

Jax congrats on getting the NOA1

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa

He's seeing that life here in the States isn't as easy as he thought it would be.

Craig and I just had this conversation (again) today about how it is here....about money, finances, etc....and he's like, but everyone here in the states CAN afford it (speaking of our price increase for our electric bill). It almost went up 75% !!! but they (the government) just put it through for 15% and then every year it will increase. I was like, Craig....you haven't even seeeeen the areas where folks can't "afford" to live like we do and trust me, we're in a apartment (not a house), but we live in a "nice" area. He loves it, but thinks eeeeeveryone is rich and it drives me crazy. Meanwhile, he's taking the bus everyday to and from work and I keep reminding him that not everyone here in this state is "rich" we ALL work hard every day. I think he's finally "getting" why we (here in the states) go to Jamaica ON "vacation" to chill out and relax!!!! and then I HAD to laugh when he said, ya know....I need a vacation!!

Craig came in the door last night...."freezing" and it really wasn't that cold. He said, I'm going to die when it really gets cold outside. He's checking the weather in the morning now before he goes outside.

It doesn't matter how much we tell our guys (and gals) the differences between Jamaica and the states, they will never really get it until they come here and experience life here themselves. All of us live in lots of different areas and I tell Craig that some of your guys just can't get on a bus and go to work and live far from places that they just can't walk to the grocery, liquor or restaurants.....he of course, doesn't believe me....

JAX, trust me ......you do NOT want to go through a pregnancy "alone". Been there, done that and it sucked!!!! I've been a single parent for 12 1/2 yrs. My sons father chose not to be in the picture and has no contact whatsover, oh except for his birthday card Dec 5th (maybe) and/or Christmas card....that's it. Craig LOVES the fact that he gets to help with my son and we've been watching ALOT of my sons baby videos because he wants to see him how he was growing up.

Have a great day everyone !

Kelly

GIRLS HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP ME!!!

Alright I am stuck here. We filed AOs and EAD from a K-1 visa. Well they sent us our original receipt letters which were sent back by mailman on accident. (We didnt put our new last name on mail box) ( I live in apartment). Anyway, we got that fixed. Now we have asked the 1-800-375-3283 number to resend them since June 8th. We still have not received the letters. I have the MSC numbers from the back of the checks, but no letters and no EAD letter to get fingerprinted etc. Today, they say that we are in the system at the Missouri Service Center to have the letter sent again to get fingerprinted but we just have to wait! I said we've been waiting 3 months!!!!!!!!!!! So she said JUST WAIT SOME MORE. These people are rude. Anyway, do you think I can contact anyone else to help? Any suggestions. Im sort of freaking out! She also said its at Missouri Service Center waiting to be assigned. Well that means its been waiting for 3 months. Im about ready to throw a fit and Oneil wants to go to work.

Help me out!

I am helping someone file K1, and I referred them to the K1 guide from this site, but now with the new IMBRA laws I don't know what else to include.

For recent K1ers: do you wait for RFE (IMBRA) or is there a form/guide I should send to filer also?

Thanks
